To agree w/ above, that soil is horrid for succulents. Pls forget abt the missing tips, not a problem, but that mix is rotting the roots as we speak. Haworthias are vulnerable to root rot under the best conditions. Under that mix is likely trouble. Don't know how long you have to fix this, I'd go out TODAY & get some cactus & succulent mix & perlite, missing them into equal parts. hopefully that [pt has a hole in it? If not, it must. Even before you unpot it, pls. remove all that mossy stuff from the top. It's all fodder for rot.

Let the burned areas dry up. I would then trim off the dried parts. In a year or 2 it will be like nothing happened.

As for the color change you experienced when putting the plant in the sun. That is normal. The plants will color up - or tan - when in the sun. You do have to wean it into the sun (sounds like you were doing that) so it doesn't burn. The plant on the right got a lot more sun than the plant on the left, so it has a better tan. Pot sizes are 6 and 8 inches. These are a couple of years old. I was investigating the green spot that turned out to be algae. In my wet summers, algae and mold show up everywhere! After I took the plant out of the pot on the left, you can see how many roots it produces. (and the chunky potting mix) I removed all the old mix and found healthy roots - lots of them! And you can see the green ring on the bottom of the pot, too. A smaller pot with a drainage hole and better draining soil mix will help you to not over water and give the roots room to breathe. The hole is necessary for drainage. Many places still say to place rocks in the bottom of a pot, especially one with no holes. This does not help and is an old tale that just won't go away. ;-) Hope that helps you out some!
