Are you quilting this weekend? June 10-12

I am not planning to spend much time in my sewing room this weekend. Little Miss Charlotte Hope arrived last night about 9:40 pm. We are watching Sami while they are in the hospital so I am exhausted already! lol We took Sami to see her baby sister this morning and she was so cute. She very gently touched the baby's cheek and said, "she is da-dorable (adorable).

They are hoping to be released late this evening. We are keeping Sami again tonight. I really want to visit the LQS tomorrow for their Spring Market Review but not sure if that will work out for me.

Are you sewing or quilting this weekend?

Aw, Linda, congratulations! Sami's reaction is so sweet! We've been looking at a lot of old photos from my mom's. There's one of me (age 2) and my new baby sister, and I don't look particularly happy about the new arrival! LOL

I'm not sure about sewing this weekend. We're leaving Tuesday for our vacation so I need to get organized and ready to go. I wasn't going to go to Mom's but found out my brother hasn't yet put in a forwarding order with the post office, so now I feel like I should go collect the mail and check on the house.

ConGratz on the new little one, Linda. Sounds like Sami will be an excellent big sister.

I think I'll probably sew on something but not sure what just yet. :-)

I just finished the binding of the D9P Crumb quilt that Beverly quilted and need to get a label on it so that's on the agenda along with finishing the Yellow Ribbon Tree. Have top and bottom Yellow/White HST borders to put on and then a brown one around it. I thought it was going to be a wall hanging, but it sure is getting big to be used for that! Then, the quilting on Little Miss Thang's quilt needs to be worked on. I think I'm covered for the week-end. @:) Sharon

Linda, I hope you feel better soon! I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and felt really lousy for several days. I have no specific plans for the weekend, so I imagine I'll be sewing. DH's sister and BIL are arriving from MN tomorrow afternoon...his other sister who lives here is picking them up but I think DH is going to meet her somewhere and visit with them all for a while. He doesn't need me for that! LOL My PP miniature is pin basted and ready for quilting, and my stack & whack top lacks only the outer border, so I'll be working on those tomorrow. I will probably clean the house Sunday morning while DH is at church, then maybe start a baby quilt for a June arrival. June will be here before I know it! :) Donna

I sent my nephew's quilt off to the longarmer this morning. Yesterday I started work on a wallhanging by Virginia Walton that was featured in the March/April 2007 issue of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting magazine. My generous neighbor had given me the whole kit she had purchased for the Spring Flowers wallhanging. Her only request, after giving me about $800 worth of fabric, was that, if I made this piece, could we share it. I've decided to make it and give it to her for her new house in Phoenix. The Creative Curves Ellipse Ruler is used for this project. I'm having fun with it so far. Tomorrow I'm taking Scrappy Mountain Majesties to its new home with my friend Jean. I think she will be thrilled.

Beautiful quilt, Linda! I think I will send all of my quilts to you for quilting from now on!!!!! No quilting here this weekend. We had dinner theater Friday night, hair appointment Saturday & dinner with friends, today church, then our DS & DIL and our beautiful granddaugher came for dinner. They wanted to run some errands after dinner and wondered if we could watch Charlotte. YES!!! They just went home and I miss that baby already. I get to babysit Thursday night, so I am looking forward to that. I need to get busy on a Fox quilt for one of their friends and also get the Ribbon Row pattern figured out for my quilt group's row quilt we are making. Tomorrow ... Sue
