Our GE microwave transformer/magnatron caught fire and filled our home with thick black noxious smoke. It was only about 2 years old! It was scary, were were lucky the breaker turned it off because it wouldn't turn off!!! If this happened to you call Contact Consumer Product Safety division, Consumer product Safety commission, in our area the phone number is 631 724-0154, also call Underwriters Labratories, and document it on "bringgoodthingstolife.org Make sure it says .org not .com. Because ge just sent us from department to department an "didn't notifiy the proper department" after a few days they will finely realize you are not going away if you keep calling, then they will send you to their Electric insurance, then you will get a call from their attorney asking you questions, beware tell him to you have to consult an attorney before you say anything. Then Samsung who actually made the microwave, their insurance Chubb will contact you, thats when it goes from bad to worse. Our fire was on Dec 24th, 2010, Chubb accepted restoration January 5th, 2011. I found out I should have just gone through my homeowners because GE just bounces you around and around and around. I should have called an attorney and Consumer Product Safety right away. Any one looking to buy a microwave should google GE Microwave class action, GE micowave law suit, GE micowave follow it by either defect, malfunction, transforer fire, magnatron fire.

If you are "above average" then you'd be anxious to mix brands. These days no one manufacturer makes the best in class of all appliances and most savvy shoppers including most people on this forum do mix brands. GE does make good MWs (I can't comment personally on the Advantium) but I would stay away from their fridges. Some good manufacturers concentrate on what they do best and don't offer a full line of appliances or else rebadge others to fill out their line. It's hard to say what was up with your salesman - either he gets better commisions for selling other brands or else he's had lots of complaints from his customers about GE. Even on this forum we've had complaints of the form - my brand XXX appliance broke after the warranty ran out and XXX refused to do anything for me for free - I'll never buy brand XXX again. Sadly, appliances these days are not made like they used to be. Why are you unwilling to mix brands - are you concerned they won't match? You should take a look at the Finished Kitchens Blog and you'll see many really nice looking kitchens with mixed brands. As an above average shopper, you ought to research individual appliances and get the best ones that meet your need and budget.

All my other Inboxes, etc. are within separate acct folders. I.E., each other acct. contains an Inbox, Drafts, Sent, etc. - outside of "Local Folders." Anyway, there's a good chance that after you create an IMAP acct., the email that you have already downloaded using POP mail, and deleted from the server - won't show up in the IMAP Inbox. You'd have to import them back in. Just to be safe, I would export all your email first so that you have it as backup. Then make new accts as IMAP. See if everything looks correct, or if you need to import anything from the backup you just made. Finally, delete the POP accts. There is a really handy addon tool for TB : ImportExportTools https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/?src=search (That page looks complicated, but the use of the tool is not) The two different ways to export using that tool are - (and you get to the choices by right clicking on "Inbox" or any other folder) : 1) "Export folder" (w/ or w/o structure) This makes an Mbox file of everything that you export. It makes for just a few simple files that aggregate everything within the respective folders. So you will end up w/ one Inbox file, one Drafts file, etc. "Structure" just means you will keep the nested structure of the folders. The disadvantage is that you can't read them later w/o importing them back first (using ImportExportTools). 2) "Export all Messages" (and choose "eml" format here) This exports each email as a .eml file - and you can identify and read each one separately later after exporting. So if you export 500 emails, you'll get 500 .eml files. You can batch import them though using ImportExportTools. And you can read them just by clicking on them individually. There's no harm in exporting both ways if you like. Just create separate folders so you can keep it all straight. Play around with it a bit until you get the hang of it. For all the people recommending this way to do email or that - this debate has been going on for years. There are advantages and disadvantages to each - it really depends on your needs. I wouldn't say that any one of them is "unusual" as someone commented - what's unusual to one is likely normal to someone else. Personally I use them all, and all for different purposes - no one method seems to work for every purpose. I do use web based email for the most part though. There are many qualified people in this country to do the job Timothy Geitner is nominated for. There are also many people who are honest and pay their taxes, never intentionally making a mistake when filing. My H and I are included. We work hard, and pay what we owe. If it's good enough for us, it's good enough for everyone. People who want high profile jobs in the government, need to bother paying their taxes, as they expect us to pay ours. Tim Geitner is not the person for this job, he doesn't handle his own money honestly, I don't want him governing ours, and when I say "ours" I include all Americans. This has nothing to do with the former administration, let's get into the present day, I am looking at the "change" we were all promised and seeing something that should have everyone shaking in their boots. I vote NO on this man, let's find someone who pays their taxes and does not cheat the rest of us. It can be done.
