I can't give you specifics but know for certain that some good, surprisingly bright solar landscape lighting now exists, as my neighbors put in such an uplight on some palms. As a side note, I recently acquired 3 different Nitecore flashlights, all which use the same light source ... an LED about 1/8" square. They are phenomenally bright, about like a motorcycle headlight. One would go blind looking at them. And they run a long time on a charge. No doubt, the landscape lighting industry is at the forefront of like developments, since the technology is basically the same, coming from the same place. (If you want awesome flashlight, check out Nitecore HC30 which is both headlamp and pocket light.)

Thanks. I know about the flashlights. I love the natural color looking light for trees/landscape. I have been looking all over for good solar landscape lights but so far I have been striking out.

Most of the ones that are good claim to be waterproof but users indicate that is not the case.
