Comments (27)A neighborhood is not a neighborhood without/until it has at least 1 sycamore IMO I prefer P. occidentalis to the others since it is usually too dry after spring for athracnose over here... at least I have never seen a sycamore around here afflicted with it. 1 huge healthy sycamore with the flaky bark even if a little crowded by other trees is as beautiful to me as any open grown oak. Huge fragrant leaves. Pyramidal growth and then really filling out in all directions when older. Vigerous, fast growth, too. Cannot beat it for 3 of the four seasons of interest. Fall is the only time it takes a backseat to most other trees. It does have obvious siting factors that must be accounted for such as mature size, limb litter, and the seed balls. A must have for any property large enough to accommodate its size, especially if there are not any others within sight....See MoreSuitable hanging plants for this location
Comments (0)Hello everyone, I have added a picture of the place where I would like to put one or several hanging plants. I have marked the location where I want to put the plants with a red line in paint. The two windows you can see in the picture are south facing, and I get quite a lot of light. However since a large part of the marked area is behind the wall, depending on the exact placement of the plants some parts won't get a lot of light. I have already tried a senecio rowleyanus, however the location did not offer enough light for that plant. Looking forward to hear your suggestions, Hidde Strikwerda...See MoreHow many gallon pot suitable for jabbo trees.
Comments (2)I would upgrade the pot size when the roots start to wrap around the bottom. They can take being root bound. If it’s in a 1 gallon pot I would up pot it into something a little bigger like a 2 gallon....See More- 7 years ago
