How has Spring treated your plants?

It been a cool but overall benign season here in west-central Wisconsin. An unusually very warm stretch of weather came in early March, followed by a very hard frost in mid May. It's a tough thing to see happen, but the fact that all of the native woody plants came through just fine is telling.

This Korean Fir cultivar had a bountiful crop of cones, and I was looking forward to seeing a congestion of Princely purple cones. Unfortunately, it looks like more than half of the cones were taken out by a May cold snap. Yes, I know, a worse fate could befall me.
