Has Spring Sprung?
Comments (12)Micki I haven't been on the computer for a while, but tonite couldn't get to sleep so thought I would take a look and there was your post. Thank You Sweet Jesus for good news. Wow you sure got a lot done today, I haven't been out too much because I am still tired and hurting. My thigh where they took the tissue for my head is a long cut and they told me it would swell up well it did but it is uncomfortable too. But everyday I get a little better. Everything is starting to bloom. I can see outside from my bedroom and living room. Before I got sick I had made some totems but never posted them as soon as I can I will photo them, they have been out all winter and they survived, of course we have no snow here. I did decorate the tree, IT IS SO PRETTY! Have to take photo of it too. Oh Micki it was so nice of Chris to want to come over right away sounds like he is a keeper. Considerate of your doctor to hurry the results and give you the good news. Luvya Sylvia...See MoreSpring has sprung!! (pic heavy)
Comments (44)Viktoria, I wish I could say they were Angelique but they are Foxtrot. I plan on ordering some Angelique this fall because they look gorgeous. I love the pink, purple and white color scheme too. I'm getting to where I like just about any kind of color scheme I believe. lol! Yes I would rather you guys drool than the deer. They are the dangest creatures. I found one rose bush in the middle of about twenty others that something has striped every new bud off of. grrrrrr..... I sprayed some LF last night since the new growth is coming on like gangbusters in hopes of keeping the deer at bay. I know what you mean about the squirrels. I like the idea of trying to trap them. I may have to look into that. The squirrels get in my beds and dig little holes everywhere and pull plants straight out of my pots. Yes they are cute little creatures but enuf is enuf!!! Trailrunner, Have you ever tried to leave them in the ground? I planted the majority of mine this past fall but have planted some before that have returned. Plus you could make sure you look for ones that are known to return year after year. I would get aggravated though with the leaves during the summer trying to leave them as long as possible for next years blooms and would always end up cutting them back toooo soon. I have mellowed some and hope I can make myself leave them this time since I planted so many and plan to plant some annuals around them to help cover the leaves up some. Hi mnswgal, So glad the snow has begun to melt. Those daffs and crocus will all be open before you know it. Thanks you all for your nice comments. I'm so ready to plant more tulips and spring blooming bulbs for next year. It just never ends does it!!! Thanks again, Judy...See MoreSpring has finally sprung!!
Comments (4)Greetings from WARM up north! today we are expecting a high of 20 - or 68 degrees, don't you just hate metric, yesterday when i was in a&p i got lunch meat and it went like this 5 slices of cdn swiss cheese, 1.50 shaved cooked ham, 3.00 of oven roast turkey breast and 1.00 of 3 other lunch meats! - kid looked at me and i said hey, i'm too old for this metric stuff. anyways i talked to sandra and cheryl (my friend) for about 10 minutes she's doing fine and looks great as always, here me with greasy hair in a pony. i actually have started a new quilt, guess i'm out of my funk but i'm so tired all the time. and i'm glad this is our long weekend and since dd is trilled about this new computer i don't think she'll be wanting to go out anywhere. i have a ton of veg. seeds and flower seeds and since this is the weekend to plant i don't really know if i should because of the cold weather funny how things work out -- may long weekend - plant seeds, and you can't wear white shoes or purses before then, who made that rule i wonder. love the new computer, the screen is huge - 17 inch, dd is going to show me how to use msn or whatever, so maybe we can chat live, i'll let you know if i'm a good student. (oh, radio just said it was 11 out - 52 degrees). baby Matthew will be 22 on Monday - can't believe it, where did the time go? if i could have done anything different raising him, i don't think i'd change anything, well maybe, i just wish he'd learn to drive! i will admit I THINK WE have great kids, oh well i won't get sappy now. al has had 2 pains in his shoulder and has had 3 sprays of nitro already today, i'm hoping it's the weather, but last night he had trouble getting up from a laying position and we had to help him get up, so i think i better stay close to him today. dd is skipping last period of school this afternoon - i know because i'm picking her up, she says the classes are getting smaller and smaller each day, i guess the kids know they won't be passing so why bother going, one class only had 5 in it yesterday. well it's time to give insulin, if you're going out there and it's your long weekend too, please, please drive carefully! debbie...See MoreSpring has sprung!!!!
Comments (1059)Jim, on my computer Houzz does break the thread up into two parts--the first 552 comments, and then the remainder. It says at the top in light green lettering "See 552 additional comments". You click on that to load the first group, and then the second 500 comments loads separately, and you read from that group if you want to. So, I guess I'm not understanding the problem. I just whiz down to the bottom where the second group ends and begin there if I want to read the latest comments, or add to them. Bonnie, can you shade that rose with an umbrella or cloth hanging on bamboo stakes? It can't hurt and might help. I can see little tents all over your front flower beds. See you on Rosy Days--not sure there will be any roses after Wednesday's heat. Diane...See Moreschoolhouse_gwagain
