Comments (12)Either is a possibility in this 100+ year old garden, but I'm leaning towards it being a native and therefore likely Darmera, despite not looking much like the photos I found online. Now I'm eagerly awaiting the fully opened flowers. Getting from one island to the other here does indeed involve multiple ferries and a lot of time, which is why I haven't made it to Whidby yet. I have been to Bainbridge a couple of times, though. It's not too bad if you take the Southworth ferry and drive, but I admit it's more of a half day expedition than a morning lark. :)...See MorePink flowers - tall, tiny leaves
