Thanks everybody for all of your thoughts! I actually picked Grenada Green because it resembled the stalks of the lucky bamboo. It looked fine when I did a sample. But when I saw it on the entire cabinet, it just didn't feel right to me. Beverly, I think you hit it on the nose when you mentioned an intense green but not bright green. I do like some yellow in the green, probably so that it blends in more with the countertop. I know a couple of you have mentioned Mediterranean Teal. While it's a beautiful color, I think the blue in the teal will make the countertop pop more. I'm trying my very best to mute the countertop. I've purchased a sample of Fernwood Green. It didn't quite work with the countertop. And thanks for the nice words about the dining room. I do love the orange. I was so hesitant for such a long time because it was an intense color compared to the other colors in my apartment. But I loved it so much that I repainted my foyer (which is adjacent to the dining room) a stronger color (BM's Twilight Blue). That's when I realized I do like the stronger colors, especially in rooms that don't have good sunlight. My kitchen doesn't get great light. That's why I'm drawn to the more intense green. And I think a more intense color will take the attention from the very strong countertop. Samplize is awesome for things like this. I've spent way too much money there already. I realize now that once I have a color that I like I need to purchase several of these colors to put them together. Colors look so much brighter on a larger scale than they do when you just look at one square.

I think you need to think warmer whites with all those warm finishes . A stark white will not work. Is there a reason you want white ? We do need to see your spaces for sure . Post the pics here in a comment do not start another post .Is there some plan to change at least the backsplash ? More info gets much better help

I’m trying to update our kitchen on very minimal budget. I’m having all backsplash tile replaced with white beadboard. I want to repaint the walls and lighten the look. Right now the kitchen and living space are two separate colors but I’d like to select a color that would work in the den as well if I decide to carry it through. I don’t want to paint the cabinets and for now can’t replace the countertops.

kitchen cabinets are white shaker with laminate Argento Romano counters and the kitchen is open to family room which has black tile on the fireplace with white painted mantle . .floors are dark oak. Currently it is all BM Lennox Tan with white trim and ceilings but am ready for a change. Adjacent living/dining room is BM Revere Pewter . . again, looking for a change and think doing the whole main floor is my best option. Leaning toward going lighter but with white cabinets is that too much?
