Oh no! I visited your post last night and thought about the Sri Lanka Beetle that has caused significant leaf damage on some of my ornamentals, but I don't have a Loquat or a HKO. Our county extension agent recommended Sevin but said to change pesticides on your next attack because Sri Lanka Beetles quickly grow immune to whatever you spray on them. I called a lawn service to spray because there was no way I could get to the tops of Tibouchinas or Powder Puff. A week later, I'm spotting those critters down low, like on african iris. This year I've squished hundreds of them. Oh, and they're mating now. Thanks for posting the link, Oldflorida. Good luck with your Orchid Tree and Loquat. You stated before that you have a pesticide free yard: that is really great, so I know this has to be heart wrenching for you. Good luck.

I bought this tiny ZZ Raven at a benefit auction of exotic/rare plants back in April 2019. This was long before they became mass produced by Costa Farms and readily available in big box stores. I paid $40 for this tiny plant. I was out of mind to be sure. I planted it and it basically did nothing other than survive. This is what it looked like in October 2019 which was exactly what it looked like when I purchased it. It did have three little spikes at that time. At some point it lost one of those leaf sets. The rhizome seemed pretty dry on top but alas it was still alive. In the meantime, I acquired two of the large Costa Farms ones from big box store. But this little guy still held a special place in my plant-heart. I guess because it was first and so small and the underdog or something. Today I noticed that it is finally getting a new spike! I can't believe it. I'm cautiously optimistic! It is rather anticlimactic if you compare it to my other substantial ZZ Ravens. But this little guy is trying!

I'm not a Windows user so this might not mean anything to you... Since I had never heard of PCmatic, I did a quick search. First, their site's WOT rating, not scientific but... their site is rated 1.5 out of 5. Not good. Yet reading a few reviews leads one to believe their software is the most marvelous thing since butter. Clicking on some of those reviewers, I found their glowing review of this one software to be their only review ever. Which makes me suspicious that their review and probably many of the others are fake. That causes me to lose respect for the company. (that they would use/encourage/buy/whatever fake reviews) (But maybe I just didn't check enough reviewers?) But despite likely fake reviews, it could still be good. Is it? Maybe. I don't know.
