I honestly have not used IE in so long I am not familiar with it's settings and I am not home now so I can't get to my computer to see. I use Firefox on my desktop computer and it works great for me. If you have Firefox try it out, you may need to update it. Any time you want to open something in a new tab you can right click on it and choose open in new tab. You can also set up the sites that you go to regularly on the bookmarks toolbar and then you have a one click solution to get to any of them. To put sites on the bookmarks toolbar just grab the url address bar of the site and drag the url down onto the bookmarks toolbar and it will create a new spot for it. If your Firefox is not showing the bookmarks toolbar right click way up at the top of the browser and it should open up the options and make sure there's a check mark in front of bookmarks toolbar option. How many individuals can you rally to go IN PERSON to City Hall to demand help? Call the press. Give them *visuals*. Raven, use that wheelchair! Bring enlarged copies of the photos of your flood damage last time and of the current peril. Bring pictures of the clogged ditches and drains. Document the problem and the city's inaction in a short, easily grasped visual. Be specific about what you want done. Set deadlines. You need a wide variety of damaged and threatened homes, not just the larger properties on your street. (Do I recall you saying last year that some people just abandoned their homes? Did someone kill himself out of frustration and depression? Rake it all up again.) The media is lazy. They have hours to fill. Give them a good story and they will use it. The media knows very well that nobody *likes* City Hall. DH and I headed a citizens group to oppose a 'done deal' for a projected development in our suburb. It didn't take long to get a lot of people 'riled up', once they grasped the situation and were shown a way to express themselves in opposition. (Your immediate and distant neighbors are already *personally* touched and 'riled'.) We formed a committee, collected donations, and started a fund to hire legal and land-management experts. It was not a short battle, but we won.

My thought is that for some reason I was supposed to lighten my load. I needed to be free of all that stuff. We had discussed at one time that it might be fun to just get rid of everything and just travel. That would be much easier to do now. So that might be an option. If they buy out the house we just walk away. They have already done a few. So we are hopeful. That's what we pray for. A good price buy out. We are very happy here and enjoying it here. Hopefully we can stay here till we can get something together. I got a much better cell phone and will bring the other one back. I am trying to add all of my contacts back.
