Hi Raven,

A while ago we were talking about livingrooms or something, and you mentioned the design of your home, the way it's open in the center.

I'm wondering if you could possibly post a picture. It sounds like it would look lovely with your tree in the atrium.

I had certainly planned on doing that this year but when mom fell and broke her hip that threw all my Christmas plans out the window, we did not even get a tree unfortunately! So that is why you did not get your picture. My husband is threatening to to pick up a nice one on the side of the road slightly used!! Lol
Right now I have some of my plants in there all covered and protected. My cleaning gal was sad to see we had no tree this year too she loves the atrium.

I thought sure I had taken pictures last year but none are on
my camera. I promise when it is looking presentable again I will take some pictures.

Awww I'm sorry about your Mom. You're certainly off the hook and forgiven for not posting pics, especially when you didn't even get a tree for yourself!

I like your Hubby's idea.....it's not too late, and there could be some nice cast-offs!

what do you mean the computer has fits if you try to add another browser,that is definitely not normal? maybe we need to work on that because having only one browser on your pc can be an issue should your IE crash, you would not have another alternative to access the internet. This is the link to firefox, when you download it, you will be asked if you want to make it the default browser just leave IE as the default for now, it will also ask if you want to get the favorites and stuff from IE you can say yes here and it will automatically import all your faves into firefox for you so you have them on both. Once you have it downloaded and installed all you have to do to use firefox is go to the firefox icon on your desktop and double click it, that will open it and you can use it, try going to your sites and see if the video works. Oh RavenCajun, I'm trying to stay calm but hubby is going to freak if I have to tell him I got Trojans on a practically new computer. *taking deep breaths* You're right (again! lol)....some of these programs seem to automatically download things I didn't want. In the Remove programs area I found things that I knew could be included with other items I downloaded but I never wanted them, but there they were! Examples: Open Office, Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, Webshots something-or-other, etc. I promise to be much more careful in the future by making sure to inspect for something that is checked as if I want it, but don't. wow what an awesome welcome from so many of you! To those that know me from the Computer Help forum "HI" and a wave! I am always checking in there so anyone that does need help head over there we have a very good helpful group. I really appreciate all the well wishes for my health, tomorrow I go back to the specialist to find out the results from the 20 vials of blood they took and the many scans and xrays so I am praying for some type of diagnosis or at least a clue to guide us. Thanks so much, I do believe in prayer and positive thinking so I know all y'alls will help! It really is amazing how many people think I am a male, I get it a lot LOL, but nope I am definitely female. I guess that is my tomboy coming out, I was a Daddy's girl and the youngest of 3 girls. I have been enjoying my time here and hope to hang around for a while.

Wow how did it post twice. Strange.

Mom is improving however the doctor is not allowing her to go back to her home he thinks she is having memory problems so she has been moved to a care facility for now and she is not happyat all. So difficult on everyone but we are most concerned with her wellness.

somehow I misread the word "livingroom" as "mushroom". You can imagine the images in my head. Growing mushrooms in the center of RC's house. :)

LOL well we do love mushrooms but I sure hope none start growing in the middle of my house!

I went through all my pictures sure I had take some of previous years trees in there but darn it can not find them.
I have pictures of my house pretty much every room and outside but not any of the atrium, it was looking so pretty this summer with all the colorful flowering plants I don't know why I did not snap a few.
I will try to do better!! Now that my phone has a good camera in it I am taking a lot more pics since it is always at hand.

I do have a pic of the front of the house from when we bought it, I took out all the dead little trees in the flower bed and now it is all planted with flowering trees and plants. My yellow Louisiana Iris are in full bloom right now!! Hard to believe and I have no idea why LOL

Sorry I missed this whole post until now, Raven. I just didn't know your mom was in trouble this Christmas

Awfully pretty house and setting. I hope your mom shows signs of progress no matter how small. You have been helping everyone out this whole time with their new gadgets while worrying about her. You are amazing.

Mom is healing well where they did the hip replacement and doing well in her therapy, walking better every day with the rolling walker. She is very upset that she will not be able to go back home, she gets really angry and takes it out on my sisters and the nurses, we are hoping that she will settle in and start to like the place and the people there. They are all very very nice and it is an excellent facility. She just really thought she would be going back home and so did we! If her memory and mental aspects would start to improve she would be able to, the doctor is just afraid she can not remember the do's and don'ts and to take her meds. She does not cook so there is no worry there but of course she could fall again.

She had planned on coming here to my house at Christmas to spend some time here, she was already packed, it is very sad that she is not able to do that now.
At 89 I think she is making very good progress. And once she makes friends hopefully she will begin to like it there.

So sorry to hear about your Mom and her medical difficulties. It is so hard to see our parents go through these things. I'm glad her hip is healing, just wish there were better treatments for the memory issues.
