Saturday, we are going to a community wide "yard sale" where my son lives. Then my family is meeting at a restaurant to celebrate my son's 35th birthday. Sunday will be busy: I'm doing a 10K walk for womens mental health, and after that, I'm going to the Saddledome to see Stars on Ice! I'm so excited!!! I get to see Elvis Stojko skate and I made sure to get seats where nobody can sit in front of us! Second tier, first row. Yay me. Oh, and if you would like to sponsor my 10K walk it would be super duper awesome. The money is going to the Calgary Foothills Hospital Health Trust. It's to help women with Mental Health issues. Shoppers Drug Mart puts this on every year. This is my first 10K walk. I did a 5k walk 2 years ago. You would have to find me on FB though to get to the link for the donation..

I am so excited that I can hardly stand it.

We're going up to Nashville on Saturday for a Paul Simon concert at the Ryman.

We'll drive up for lunch, maybe some early bar hopping just to hear some music, then check in to the Hermitage Hotel in plenty of time to relax, get changed, maybe have a salad or something before we walk to the concert.

After the concert, we will likely hit music row to see who's playing and get a late bite to eat.

It's an early anniversary celebration for us and I'm going to enjoy every minute.

Delicious way to support a charity

A nephew in northern Virginia is graduating from a 2-year college program and his parents are holding a graduation party this weekend. I joked that since it was a two year program, instead of a full-length graduation gown they would all be wearing thigh-high graduation mini-dresses.

His plan is to transfer the credit to a four-year college program where he will be starting next fall.

My son has a fund raiser for his mission trip which is all day on Saturday, and he's in wind ensemble, so all evening, he'll be playing at his high school graduation-pomp and circumstance a million times.

Paul Simon, was at Oak Mountain, here, years ago and went to his concert.

We had a full day, concert, then the 4 of us went to The Shrimp Basket for lunch.

DH and ME ....alone for the weekend! I wonder what mischief we can get into! (I have had my limit of ER visits this year!)

We just had our weekly pizza night and now we are jumping in the pool. Thanks to the solar heaters my hubby built, the pool is 83 degrees right now, outside temp is 80. Feels great!
