last modified: 10 years ago

Ewwww, JemDandy "lounging/watching tv in their bathing suit". Now that's it's warming up, I'll soon get to "enjoy" seeing my retired neighbour sunbathing in his speedo (the butt-crack proudly showing, as I drive in!

25% of people do this on a regular basis at home, but might be too embarrassed to do it in a public setting. What is it?
Answer: Sing in the shower

This weekend's question is

29% of men have done this at one time or another because they believe it makes them look cool. What is it?

Hahahahahahaha! My former neighbor did both of those.....and this was just about 5 years ago too! May he RIP.....

I will guess wear mirrored aviator sunglasses.

"I wear my sunglasses at night" it's a running joke with my friends to start singing that song when someone has on sunglasses when they don't need them so that is my guess.

Wearing sunglasses indoors, at night, etc when they aren't needed.

    wear a speedo

Re wearing sunglasses at seemingly inappropriate times - I have rosacea which in my case also leads to sunlight sensitivity issues for my eyes and yes I wear sunglasses when it's cloudy or raining or even at dusk into darkness, whenever there's a glare I'm wearing sunglasses. Indoors, not usually, but if I had to I would.

I wear sunglasses in most daylight conditions. I'm just so used to them that my eyes can't handle much sunlight without protection.

Indoors. I can't imagine 29% of anyone wearing sunglasses inside? It certainly wouldn't be an obvious guess, but it is an interesting one.

    cheated to win a game

I worked in a mall years ago and believe me, I saw tons of, usually young "cool" looking guys wearing sunglasses indoors. Always made me bust out singing the song.

A third of guys wear glasses inside? Were they all 16 and younger?

Sunglasses at night is the right answer I think. I remember the trend.

I don't know a percentage, I just know we saw it often enough for it to be a running joke. As I said, usually young looking guys.

Dee's said mirrored aviator sunglasses which reminded me of all those kids I saw.

no idea-just having a laugh at the answers!

I'm blank, so how about - they put the toilet seat down? (it is only 29% after all)

watchmelol, jasdip hasn't posted the "correct" answer. So how do you know what it is

    last modified: 10 years ago

    rob...you can google the question....

I like the perm answer better! wink

Yeah, I know you can. Probably more fun for the rest of us when one guesses first, and looks up the correct answer AFTER. If you know what I mean

It would be pathetic and pitiable if someone cheated on this little trivia game. Do some of you actually do that???

My guess WAS going to be "pick up the tab".

rhizo I agree....I've never gotton any of them right. :0) The world is a mystery to me!

Why would you post a link to the answer? Yes, it says "spoiler", but it was not a respectful thing to do, especially to Jasdip.

I agree rhizo, it would be pathetic if someone cheated. Sadly, there have been times where I have questioned it, but I try not to let it keep me from participating. I've been playing since the beginning and am very thankful to Jasdip for taking the time to do this for us :)

Maggie, that's my interpretation, too. Most of the questions really can't be answered, but they are fun to read and think about, and the answers are fun to read.....even those from the predictable cheaters!

I don't see any justifiable point in posting the answer. Tsk tsk

Huh? people cheat? Why the heck would you do that?

This is the first place I come to when I turn on my computer in the morning. It always gets my brain thinking for either a clever answer (seldom happens) or a well-it-could-be answer.

I'm on the west coast so the clever answers are usually taken by the time I arrive.

I've won twice but only because the questions sorta kinda had something to do with my life.

Jasdip - keep up the fun work. I'm still waiting for something to do with a toilet seat to be the right answer.

Blfenton, sometimes I try and wait later in the morning to post the quiz, just for people like you who live on the west coast. I'm always afraid that if I wait too long, I'll forget completely. What would be a good time for you, that you'd like me to start it?

Oh, you do what's convenient for you! If all my automatic answers are taken it just makes me have to think harder. :)

I'm on the west coast too, but like blfenton I just have to think a little harder if my answer is taken, which is good for my aging brain :)

DH and I share our office and every morning he asks what the trivia question is. I sometimes post his response. He's rooting for Jim :)

    matti5...I removed the offending link....Peace.

Jasdip...good job! I appreciate all that you do!

I don't usually play, but I will say "driven a convertible". Does everybody know the answer already?

No, we find out Monday morning when the next question is posted.

Surely, it has nothing to do with a Speedo.

Order a ridiculously expensive bottle of wine.

    Touched-up their grey hair

Wear dress boots with about 1 inch lift in the heel.

I find it incredulous at best that someone would accuse me of cheating on a fun game thread such as this.

I'm frankly insulted and offended that people I thought of as "friends" would accuse me of suddenly searching for the right answer to gain imaginary internet points.

I guess I will no longer participate in the trivia threads since someone decided to label me a cheater for my off the wall guess.

For the record, I never googled the answer and I didn't click on Nicole's cheat link either; I can only assume my off the wall answer was correct based on the vitriol spewed towards me.

Jasdip- I've had lots of fun with these threads, I'll continue reading but I doubt I'll answer them again for fear of being accused of cheating.

Texas, I don't see where ANYONE accused you of cheating. At all!

    Re-read the thread.

Nicole raised the ugly subject in a post that she has now deleted.....but in a generic sense. She was simply making some sort of mysterious point, posted a link to a trivia website, spoiled the game for those who hadn't played.

It had nothing to do with you. Or vitriole spewing. My comments on cheating were entirely, absolutely generic and not directed towards anyone in particular, not even unconsciously. I was honestly commenting on nicole's suggestion that looking up the answers was an option.

I'm perplexed at your post.....others suggested the sunglasses after dark option after you did. ;-)

Texas Gem, I've reread every post and no where do I see anyone accuse you of cheating, so I am very confused by your post. My post was in response to Nicole who as rhizo stated, had posted a link to the answer. She meant no harm and has removed it :)

I also stated in my post that there have been times where I've questioned (in my mind) if someone had cheated. I do not believe it happened in this thread and never accused you of doing so.

Texas - whoa! Where the heck did that come from? Step back, clear your mind, take the day, come back and re-read, because there is nothing here to indicate your feelings.

If you are picking up anything like that it isn't from the regulars that's for sure.

Stay. I enjoy your company when and wherever you post.

If I misinterpreted Rob's interesting comment on my guess, followed by questions about my answer and her comment "Probably more fun for the rest of us when one guesses first, and looks up the correct answer AFTER. If you know what I mean"

Then I apologize. But all of it felt like a thinly veiled accusation directed at me.

    Sorry!

I'm still scratching my head, Texas. I don't see that rob was referring to you, in particular.

    Anyway......carry on! :-)
