Well she's not outside. She's in a west facing window that gets evening sun. She's a Tarocco Blood Orange tree. I purchased her from Four Winds. Her issue is some color change in the leaves and they are just shriveling up and falling off. They also come in distorted and don't have a nice glossy look. I guess it could be too much fertilizer but I figured it was the proper feeding schedule.

Note that there isn't really any such thing as a 'dwarf' blood orange. If grown in-ground it's the rootstock that controls the size. If in a pot - presumably the case in the UK - then the pot size is the major controlling factor.

The most current industry thought is not to cover the cut with paint. When you plant the tree in the ground dig a hole just large enogh to fit the tree's root ball. For any back fill needed, use only the dirt removed while digging the hole. Do not add any foreign materials such as peat etc. Depending on the weather you should water a couple times a week, being careful that the roots don't dry out .

Citrus in general love full sun (finger limes being the exception that i'm aware of - they like partial).. If it's been in ground for 5 months, it should be fully acclimated. How close is it to your lemon.. is that two plants (your BO and lemon) in the one picture? My BOs (Moro is my primary, Sang is secondary) love sun, and thrive in full sun and heat here (hitting 100+ in summer on occasions on the east coast). If your base soil is like San Diego, it's sandy, so super good drainage. But your primary soil around the plants could contribute to problems, whether from packed soil or bad pH. I agree with the others that it generally looks healthy. If that is two plants in one picture, I'd move them apart. They'll be at need at least 5-6 foot diameter even on dwarf stock (unless you don't want the lemon, then I'd cut that as it's competing for nutrients). Quick add - looked up LA... you're about 65% peak sun right now (assuming no obstructions).
