Comments (34)From my spring orders, the most unusual: Errinerung an Brod (rambler) Inermis Morletii (rambler) Umbra (gallica hybridized by Paul Barden) Incantation (small shrub rose, also by Barden) Geschwind's Orden (shrub) Norland Rose (climber) Break o'Day (Brownell HT) Andrewsii (spinossisima) Alika (gallica) Prairie Flower (Buck) Sweet Fragrance (Grandiflora by Ping Lim) Omphale (gallica) Daphne' (gallica) Heinrich Karsch (polyantha) And for every one of these (plus the other seven I haven't listed because I see them talked about all the time) I must find a rose already in the garden to remove, pot up and give away. No expansion, that's my self-imposed new rule and that will make planting twice the work, I think! Oh well, a good number of these will be small bands that may not go in the ground yet this year. We'll see how they do in pots for a while. :-) Anne...See MoreRAVISHING "R" daylilies
Comments (25)gdinie....Red Tailed Hawk is a vigorous plant in my garden. Very tall and showy and I've had no problems with it at all. Brad, you chose some good ones for your faves. Robin's Tuition was actually sent to me as a bonus with an order a few years ago, and it is a better garden plant than any of the daylilies I had in that order...lol. It starts here early and is well scaped and budded so it blooms for a long time. The plant is healthy and always puts on a show each year. One of the best performers in my gardens. When I took the photo of it above it had been blooming for several weeks. My other 'star' is Royal Trophy. The blooms are quite large at 7 inches+ and striking from a distance with that deep purple hue. This is another great performer and one that will always have a place in my garden....See MoreNearly at Peak Now
Comments (11)Daniel Howard Norris is always tempting when you post it. I also like Stamile's Blue Pink Beauty. It's too bad their daylilies don't seem to hold up well in our heat. Which is why Natalie Antoinette is no longer in my garden either.........Picture in Picture looks great. My Blushing Escapade isn't as colorful in my garden as yours so far. I didn't really think about it being a sev either when I ordered it, so we will see if it survives our winter..........Maryl...See MoreUser
