Dear Blanca, My bags also had departure days of 13/11/2014 (13 November 2014) on the green tags; departed from Roissy."Flowers" is handwritten under the preprinted "Printed matters" Boxes 1 and 3 arrived in the bag, while box 2 arrived on its own, which suggests to me it had been taken out of the bag for possible inspection. My 3 boxes took 6, 8, and 12 days to arrive, respectively., once they left France. I wish I knew why yours were not in good shape. It sounds like they sat somewhere really warm and damp. I recall seeing "Priority Post" (or similar) on the white tag attached to each blue bag. I'll look when I get home. "M" bags are the least expensive way to send parcels that weigh less than 5 kg. "I went for Gossards. (Supermodel, Tornado Bird, Raspberry Griffin ) for lots of blooms and cold hardiness" You won't be disappointed, I'm sure of that. I love my Gossards and at this point, can't imagine a year going by without my ordering at least one more. They've all been super performers here. (Ignore the fact that I seem to live in zone 10; I don't. I was just playing around one day, and I keep forgetting to change it back to zone 6. At least it no longer reads zone 50 heh heh heh.) "I like to see peoples's order lists as well and Google ones I haven't heard of since there are so many out there, I always find beautiful ones that I didn't know existed." OK, then!.... I'm still waiting to receive FIRE FOUNTAIN, from Solaris Farms. I have no idea when it will arrive, and I haven't bothered contacting them to find out. They're in Wisconsin and will ship when they can. Who knows...maybe it'll arrive today or tomorrow. But since I'm STILL planting today and am going on what will amount to an all-day garden tour tomorrow, next week is perfectly fine, too.

Thank you again everyone for the kind words. :) Where am I going to put all of these ? That certainly is the $64,000.00 question !!! I counted yesterday: 31 different types in pots 3 of those pots are Andrew 33 pots total 3 different types in the ground 3 Elegans (stationary, not moving them) 2 Wide Brim 1 Tiny Tears 5 NOID in ground 3 clump #1 3 clump #2 1 ½ clump #3 1 mature mini no ID 1 mature mini no ID TONS of Elegans seedlings we dug up out of the front bed and put in the back. That is all the hosta on the property. So I have about 31 places to find for all the new additions. This does not include the 40+ I have still “to order” on my wishlist. As of today 7/29/12 I have only one bed clear. Initially I feel like I want to panic . . . but the flip side (for me at least) is I am not necessarily in any hurry to get them in the ground. I would almost prefer to let them get a few years in pots where I can coddle them and take my time finding just the right spot. So, in theory I believe I have enough room for them all (plus more) but it may be a good long time before they get placed in a permanent position. When I started this project I knew it would be a long hard road to beautification. My goal is to work with as much already existing in the ground as feasibly possible. I will be ripping out a lot of established shrubs and moving existing perennials, but more so to rearrange and start over. There is an existing design that was originally landscaped into the yard, so I will be working with that and adjusting lines and height as needed. But for the most part I am settled into a very long project with no real agenda. I will of course keep you all updated as to any progress that is made. This year though is rather uneventful since I am still in the process of amending and clearing out the first bed so that I can be ready for a spring planting. Here are some glamour shots of “The Jungle”. This first one is a pic of me in the process of clearing out the first bed. These were all taken in early June. And here is basically the jist of what it looked like before I mowed it all to the ground . . . The next grouping are of the section of yard that leads up to the side porch. This I don't think ever had anything planted in it. There is a bed separating the two sections of the front yard so you can't get to this part without going around the house and coming off the side porch. The Hosta in the picture are of seedling Elegans and one of my MIL NOID. It is still too young and neglected to pitch here for proper ID. So all in all I def have enough space to keep me plenty busy for a very long time. Plus we are having an arborist come out in the winter and trim a few trees that desperately need it as well as remove a few that are too close to the house. So there will still be a nice canopy but I will have a lot more light coming through starting in 2013 and that is also something I am going to keep my eye on for plant placement. Orders? Geez... most of mine have already come and are potted up. However, there are a few stragglers, and the new ones I've placed. OMG! I wish winter would go away. I am so bored being cooped up in the house with rain, snow and winds off and on outside. I want to see roses. So in my boredom, I order more. I have no more room. What is wrong with me? I'm insane!

Beth, one of the main reasons I'm not ordering more is the RRD I found last year. I found some on Champney's Pink Cluster in fall and had to cut Mons. Tillier to the ground. I'm being cautious for now.
Housework, forget it. I would rather do anything than housework. I don't mind cleaning, it's the picking up I detest.
Beth, do you grow Basye's Purple? If so, how has it done for you?

Carla - what a bummer about Camille only blooming once. How long have you had her? I hope she's not that stingy. I know it will take a couple of years to see anything of any size.

Beth - remember I live in the land of the frozen north. I'm so longing for spring. I've cleaned and recleaned cabinets and closets so many times that I've lost count. I even went through an old cedar chest last week. There's nothing left to do inside. The cats are even hiding because they think they might be next and a bath might be in their future. You're lucky you can pot stuff up...I won't see any roses until April. I hope I survive two more months.

I had to laugh at your post. This weekend I made my poor husband help me re arrange all the furniture in the house and do some spring cleaning. He protested that it is NOT spring yet but still the cabin fever made me want to do something. So I can certainly relate.

Beth it sounds like you have some great roses there. I would love to try Black Magic. Once again your list of roses makes the rest of us look incredibly controlled:) I told my husband this morning that all this weather makes winter seem so much longer because you really cannot get outside. However the precipitation is welcomed so that keeps me from whining too much about it.

Terry, I spend most of my spare time on the computer so I don't have to clean house. OMG.... It's horrible. I feel like I've done a lot if I just get dinner and do dishes. LOL

Oh my goodness, I don't feel as bad now. I'm small time compared with you guys. You all have amazing orders coming! Can't wait to see your pics this year. :o) I had a big Sequoia order and ordered only two from Rogue Valley Roses. I got a lot of minis to try this year. The thing is....we have a spectacular Rose Nursery less than a mile from my house. A lot of my roses have come from there. Check out what I can buy this close to home. No shipping! With an incredible sale the month of Feb. If you buy four or more they are even more on sale. I have to show some amazing willpower a week from now....

I've gotten a lot of different-odd roses and OGR's lately, so I'm ready for some classics and newer great ones. The first few I would like to get from Raft Island are Chicago Peace, Pink Peace, Honey Dijon, Pope John Paul II, Paul's Himalayan Musk, and a couple of crimson Austins not sure which ones yet. My daughter wants Jude the Obscure for Valentine's Day. Isn't that sweet. She just loves the pics of it. I love all types of roses. Beth, they also have your Kaleidoscope. You have enabled me yet again!

Didn't "order" anything as I have 100+ roses in pots getting ready to move. I've lost a few, thankfully not that many out of about 150. I'll have to go over the tags to see what I want to replace & what I don't.

I got an email from Roses Unlimited saying shipping for my roses would be April... I was stunned that Pat remembered! Last year I was looking for a rose to buy in my dad's memory (ended up with Daddy's girls) and saw Pure Poetry offered. I wanted 3 or 4 of them as I lost mine the last time we were selling the house. I can't speak highly enough about Pat. One of these years I'm going to go down there to meet her.

I know I've lost another rose (Sunfire) that makes me very sick as it is not around any more. I've sent Pat cuttings a few years ago, they didn't take. When we dug the bush out, I was going to send her cuttings but had so much going on that it didn't happen.

At my old house I had several Gallicas grafted from Pickering and I felt so pleased that they did not sucker, but it seems I have fallen from wisdom and my house will be overrun by out of control own root Gallicas.

Patrick, you will like Sunshine. Mine that I got from Vintage in December has a bloom - tiny, light apricot with a little red on outer petals opens to light apricot. Charming!!

Hi, Carla! Are you coming to Ashdown's Mothers Day Festival this year? I go every year since I am only 25 minutes away, yippee!
