I got an email back today. "HI there, Photos can be uploaded directly to Houzz, so while you may include links to photo bucket or other photo sites in your posts and comments, the photos can not be embedded directly. Original posts must be edited within an hour. Comments on posts can be edited up to one week later. The reason these limits are in place is to insure consistency in the discussion that follows and to allow for minimal disruption to the other users participating in the conversation. If posts are editable forever, discussions can lose their coherency as people come back and remove their content." I also saw on the Kitchen forum today someone mentioned a post she flagged as spam other people could still see and were commenting on. I'm interested to know how the flagging works too. - Since I flagged two of my own posts. I did want to correct that the photos from Photobucket that weren't coming down...when I went back in last night to try some tests here I realized I didn't delete all of my pics which was why they were still showing the other day. My bad. I apologize for going on about that when it was my fault.

On the main page it will say start a conversation. ..click it. Than type in your subject which must be 15 or more letters...than type in the body of your message than click next...here you must choose at least one place for your thread to goto. I scrolled down and found kitchen table and clicked it..than I clicked post. ..do not assume that just brcause your at the KT when you start your thread that it will show up here...it won't unless you choose the KT.

My English teacher late mother would have appreciated "that which is great" wordage too! I looked for a Bible verse but couldn't find one both short and clear enough. There was short and then there was clear. “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” Matthew 13:31-32 That is quite appropriate too, because the botanist in me can tell you that my lawn is LOADED with weeds that are in the mustard plant family, Brassica. Lots of "cresses." Mustard plants are known by their flowers which, coincidentally, have four petals.

It’s nice to know that the posts haven’t been deleted - but it is much more difficult. I’ve found it more difficult to find posts about a particular subject than it used to be - not just when looking for something posted by a particular user. Houzz already made it difficult to post/comment if using an iPhone/iPad/MacBook Air awhile ago. It really irritates me to have to put my own apostrophes in + no auto capitalization of a word after a period + no auto period after spacing twice (plus, no autocorrect re: spelling + random insertion of repeated words/etc.) I first thought it was due to an update on my iPad - but then I realized I had no issues when using John Bridge Tile forum (they were helping me with issues re: a bathroom renovation). I also have the same threads suggested over and over under the ”More Discussions” - I don’t know if that’s because less new threads are being posted? It seems like there used to be interesting threads suggested under there - at least, ones that hadn’t already been suggested twenty times! While it made sense to stop suggesting really old threads under the ”More Discussions” because people would make a comment without looking at how old the thread was - it was helpful to see threads that were related to the post I was currently reading when I was doing some research on a particular issue. Okay, I’ll stop whining. . .
