Thanks for letting me know, but we've just finished picking out our tile. We met with the tile installer, and he told us that if we went with any tiles from Home Depot or Lowes that he would charge an extra $1.00 per square foot for installation. So we ended up going back to the dealer we went to originally and dealt with someone else. Here's the tile we picked: For the master bath floor: Ragno Riverstone Fuerte For the master bath shower: Daltile Goldrush Klondike White I was all set to go with the Daltile RD-06, but then I saw the Ragno Riverstone. We both really liked the look (and it was only .50 more than our budget). Thanks again everyone for your help!

Hi, X Glad you are back. I played with your new graph a bit and still can't make it work for me with the DR at the top. Disadvantages: 1. Go through kitchen to reach dead end DR. 2. Not enough clearance around table. 3. I would find the room, even with the windows, enclosed feeling. I do still like Lavender Lass's sketch. But it seems to me that you would not often use the keeping room. Again, you have to walk through the kitchen to reach a dead end space. But it is charming. So I went back to my first plan and played a bit. Yes, I KNOW you don't want a prep sink. I just can't design this iteration of the kitchen without it. So convenient to the DR table and Fireplace sitting area for drinks. So nice for prepping on the island. But that's OK. Go ahead. Ignore me. No prep sink. See if I care. ;o( Considerations: 1. The island is wide--3 feet. Not needed for space, but it seemed to me to ''want'' to be that wide. I wish mine were! 2. I didn't put seating at the island because you have seating so handy at the corner window seat, DR table and the Fireplace seating. 3. This assumes you will eat all meals at the DR table. Not sure if that is your plan. 4. Not sure of your DR table size. This shows 4 x 6 feet, which is a bit tight in the area around it. Suggestion: Have the fireplace chairs on wheels so they can be slid around easily as needed. Anyway, a slightly different arrangement to add to your growing pile of considerations. a lot of dishwashers are handle-less. It seems it would be fine to the left of sink. there will be stuff on island and peninsula so the peninsula location at[pivot and step] from sink seems it would be fine-even better in a way.rinsing of dishes is not de rigeur anymore.I don't know-I just get a funny feeling about the plan-switching range and fridge would help. I think it's something about the "center of gravity"-I'm not feeling it-there are several sections here but in the end, the "center" ends up the floorspace in the middle,oddly. Here's something-what if you had a long elongated U coming off the window wall---the sides would extend less than the peninsula..then do an island running left to right with stools across back. It's more straightforward and "center stage" which to me your space is asking for. I guess the island off to the left seems marginalized to me....for your lg space you get 3 seats? not good use in my opinion. You could have 10-12 feet of island running left to right, along with ends, so calculate seating potential with that. Also-at the left side of a U, coming from piano plaza, you could do the structure necessary to back up your fridge/ panel and finish off end and back so the fridge is situated on that arm of U-facing in. then place bench or deacon's bench on the back of this wall or whatever you construct. This carries theme of bench at front hall.[I like benches] This would be nice in that mini area. Maybe if you just pause,walk through and look at your existing space and ideas on paper as they have evolved and go back to your goals. You'll get something great here.
