Comments (1)Laura~I say to try a lighter or darker tone for contrast. If you don't love it, it's only paint. Can't wait to see the new bathroom, it sounds lovely. :)...See MoreTibbrix- picked one of your paint suggestions!
Comments (2)Sis, glad you picked a color. Always a relief! Cornice Tan seems to be a lighter and brighter version of BM Putnam Ivory (which I have in my DR, btw). You are aware it has a lot of orange in it, right? Putnam Ivory has a LOT of orange in it in bright light, and I think the Cornice Tan will have even more. Assuming you tried a sample?Just want to make sure because one never knows with orangey colors! I have come to love the Putnam Ivory in artificial and indirect light while disliking it in the morning brighter light, and my DR gets no direct sunlight!...See MoreCan I get your opinion please?
Comments (20)Thank you. Paul, the Interpretive Designs are written up with very specific requirements. With those it is more a matter of meeting the design requirements rather than show standards. For example, one Natural Design did not get judged because the grower used a gesnariad instead of a violet in the arrangement. My entry for Shipwreaked Dreams did get judged though I think I misunderstood the term 'interacting containers' from the description. I also missed the mark on balance and colors. I chalk it up to inexperience, but nonetheless, I won a ribbon for best Novice Design! Someone told me I might have won something more if I had used the shell arrangement alone and competed that as a dish garden....See More- 8 years ago
