First flush beginning with small blooms
Comments (5)Same here. After the late cold snaps and then the deluge of rain, wind and hail, many of my first blooms have been either small, deformed, balled, rotted or have been exceptionally light in coloring verses their normal color. Forecast is for rain every day for the next week after a week of temps in the 90's with no rain, so I'm guessing my next blooms will suffer from the back and forth weather, as well. It is disappointing, but I'm happy to at least see life in my garden again after this long, hard winter....See MoreA few blooms from the last week

Here also it's the same, although ten years ago when we still had winter freezes the situation was somewhat different and the garden from late December to early April would look rather bare as the roses and other plants were resting. That's no longer the case and everything takes a giant breath of relief when cooler weather arrives (and hopefully some rain)....See MoreA few pictures from the past few days
Comments (27)A few open a few ago, this are still baby roses that I got end of June. George Washington Richardson . The rose is thick and no wind is going to shatter this petals. It open yesterday . No scent Below is RJG, Let me see if I am going to mess up spelling. Rhodologue Jules Gravereaux or something like that. I can smell something but it is very faint.
