Bart: I planted 12 varieties in pots four yrs ago, six northern and six southern highbush. After a fair start, most turned various colors and declined. I did a soil test. It came back about pH 4.5 from Texas A&M. They recommended lime application!!!!! I applied a little lime to one, no help. Ended up losing all but four varieties. Now have the three best adapted to my potting soil, water, and chilling. Maybe that is what you need to think about...what remains may be better adapted to your situation. The brown areas sort of look like what is happening to a few of mine.I hope it's not.This stuff spreads like a plague.I'm leaning towards bacterial canker that is on my plants. Has it been rainy in your location recently?I think it is distributed that way. I had to cut away a lot from one plant and still don't know if it is going to survive. Here is a link to some photos. I think what's nice about AS is it probably allows the plant to uptake nitrogen in a high ph environment. As the ph is lowered while present. It's a good way to feed the plant. So ROFL, use this ASAP! Most good soils have the other elements. I also though use an organic fertilizer. Once plants are established, I probably will only use AS in the spring if at all. Currently I have a blueberry organic fertilizer, but once gone will use an off the shelf acid organic fertilizer. Inorganic or organic they work! I like using kelp to add trace elements. Tom Spellman mentions in an interview that he observed trees doing better with just 2 applications a year. I trust his word on that. I would like to grow more blueberries as they are a touch of a challange and I like growing plants that are not easy to grow. Actually these are if conditions are right. I probably should be growing orchids, but the flower payoff isn't enough anymore. Been there done that, got the t-shirt with cacti.

Sounds like they are growing well so this may not be serious. If the leaves don't fall off early it's probably not serious. Hard to tell without a picture. Blueberries are often frustrating to me after 11 yrs. If you make a crop next yr you can be proud of the accomplishment!!
