Don't think these sellers worry about trends
Comments (38)I had great-aunts and -uncles who lived in Alden Park when it was relatively new. I also had a great-aunt who lived in CH proper in a house that had something like 25 rooms, and I try out on occasion to find out if it is still residential. Typical of a lot of Philadelphia though, all but the real core of any neighborhood can often be a mixed bag. This isn't a Bad thing, in my mind, but how much crime is in the mix and how good the infrastructure is nearby are factors. A few months ago, I think my mother's actual house was for sale (she only lived there 'til she was 7...) and it was in great condition and it was Cheap. If you went in one direction the street got better and then you were in CH proper (this was GT or one of the Mt Airy's depending on what map you looked at). But drive on the street map a short distance in the other direction and there were abandoned cars. And no convenience stores or grocery stores for quite a ways....See MoreI don't have to worry about the Mother of the Groom dress.
Comments (34)Susan, what happy news! Congratulations, best wishes and hugs to you and Joey and Leanne. That is just wonderful. And if you think it's going to be odd to see a wedding ring on your son's finger just wait until you're all out in public and someone says "Hi Mrs. ....." and you turn your head only to find out they're speaking to your DIL. I think it must give you a great deal of satisfaction knowing that they're now officially on their journey together. Oh I do hope they had someone take photographs. I can't imagine that they wouldn't mark this momentous occasions without arranging for some photos. And I'm looking forward to seeing them. Maire...See MoreOBF May Swap: It's a small world
Comments (284)I had already thanked Margo for her Cincinnati package but wanted to share a pic. Just love all of it! Peanuts are already gone. The Chili - it will be next! The cardinal bird handed I already know where on my patio it is going. Carnation seed is gonna be planted ( it’s my favorite!) I could be biased there as 32 yrs ago this Dec. that was the first flower my husband gave me on our first date. The currant tomato seed I love to can so those will be of use too. She also sent a cute buckeye keychain. And in the background is a veggie tote bag. I always use these when going to the store. Wow, so glad you were my partner Margo. You really brightened my world today especially when all I can do is try to rest and pray the pain will ease up. Will be having surgery Wednesday. Margo - Jay mailed your box a few days ago and he said you should have gotten it yesterday. Hope you enjoy the state theme I picked. And again Thank you for being so kind as I was late getting yours to you.
