These are Cannas.

I googled them and tried to garden watchdog it but there wasn't any feed back. I have the common purple Delosperma plant and I wish Orange Glow Lampranthus was full hardy here in Delaware. I think it may be like portulaca (come back some years not others). I will grow it in a pot also so I will be able to bring some in and overwinter it in a greenhouse. Do you know of a nursery online where I can find it? Thanks mcharris! T.J.

Definitely creeping beggarweed or Desmodium incanum. I found it on Weedalert.com From that site: Cultural Practices: Creeping beggarweed can be difficult to control due to its spreading ability by deep rhizomes. The plant also produces jointed seedpods that can be physically distributed. Beggarweed can tolerate close mowing. A dense turf produced by proper fertility practices and adequate irrigation to prevent moisture stress is the best practices to compete with beggarweed. Physical removal is difficult due to the deep rhizomes. Herbicide Use: For optimum control, make your postemergent herbicide application to creeping beggarweed that is young and actively growing. That is a type of canna, not sure of the name, but I have one that is very similar.
