Food-safe Epoxy glue?

I know, it’s a strange question…..

I made a short wide container intended to hold coconut oil
in my pottery class (ever notice how coconut oil, just like peanut butter, is
often sold in tall narrow jars?). The plan was to have a design easier to scoop
out of.

But for the third time, I have a crack in the base. I don’t
see trying a fourth time to make this item. Though coconut oil is solid for
most of the year here, for a few months it isn’t.

My instructor suggested filling the narrow crack with epoxy.
It’s narrow enough to make this feasible. I thought of using a jeweler’s epoxy,
since that would have to be safe, once cured, to be in contact with skin. But I
thought I would check on the off chance someone knew. Maybe there is something
made for cutting boards, for example.

So…anyone know? Thanks!
