ID echeveria?
Comments (9)Hola César! I believe someone else posted this pic (and another photo) a couple years ago (maybe Peter Larmour of Oaxaca). This photo is from long ago, no? I recall 2 photos showing the old gardens out front of Iglesia de Santo Domingo. Now they have Yucca & Agave growing in the place of these Echeverias. I don't know what type Echeveria it is. I don't think we figured it out 2 years ago either. I believe it could be a hybrid with Echeveria gibbiflora. Sorry I am not more help! ~Rosemarie...See MoreEcheveria ID?
Comments (15)That one ('Capri') you found at Bev's site in Australia is somewhat like yours, Howard, but I don't think that's it. Do you see the notches in the middle of the leaf end on some of them? I think that might be how it got its name, looking like (what I know) the side hem of capri pant legs (maybe?). Echeveria hybrids are some of the hardest to name, unless they have very distinctive characteristics. Many change so much through the year, you have to do a series of pix, tracking them...and even then, it's difficult to ID! Yes, Penny, they do have many named Echeveria in Australia that we don't have, but we do have plenty hybrids here! Now, whether or not you can find them being sold is another thing. C&S shows are your best bet. I'm still kicking myself for not snatching up the 'Raindrops' I saw this last time! You'll just HAVE to come down to S.D. in June for the show/sale! If you come, I'll take you to The Plant Man's shop in Old Town! Here's what I saw when I visited last:...See MoreHelp with ID'ing this Echeveria?

Comments (5)They are both echeverias, but it is hard to say exactly which ones right now. Many echeverias have a similar leaf shape and are hard to differentiate without seeing flowers or the way they color up in full sun. Sorry I can't be more help....See Morerina_Ontario,Canada 5a
