Best single wall oven for baking?
Comments (16)I have an Electrolux wall oven and Wolf DF range. I would not recommend them though because the blue enamel has eroded and chipped in both. Electrolux will only cover the interior of the oven for the first year. If you buy their extended warranty, it is excluded. They both work great though as far as baking. It is a shame such good ovens are ruined by this problem. I baked a long time with conventional ovens and usually go more for simple but I do like having the various modes. edit-When you looking at interior measurements, look at the rack size. When you have convection fans, they can take away part of the usable space in the back. There may even be a notch around the fan. Even when a "flat back" is advertised, this may mean the back is flat but still is where the front of the fan is. Also top to bottom, consider the distance from the rack to the top element. Also look at light placement. One oven I had recently had the lights placed so low, you could not see what you were baking. Comments (6)Hi all, Can someone help me figure out the difference in power and functioning in the induction cooktops. I have decided to get a 36 inch induction and have been looking at the inductionsite website, but don't really understand what power to look at. I am considering Wolf (5 elements, 2 boost) and Diva (5 elements no boost) and also Electrolux and Miele which are both 5 element, 5 boost. I can't figure out where there is power sharing and from a pure heat capacity per burner, which is better. It seems that Wolf does have an advantage in higher capacity in the largest burner (without and with the boost). But I am really not sure I understand all the implications. Thanks...See MoreAnyone have the GE Single/Double Wall Oven? (Model PT925DNBB)
Comments (13)I bought this oven and it was installed about 3 weeks ago. It is so nice! I haven't used the bottom oven yet. The top oven heats up in about 6 min., much quicker than heating the full size of a single wall oven. I like that the doors aren't as tall as a full oven door so they don't stick out as much when open. Consumers report gave this oven the highest rating for capacity. The only drawback I have notices is that is unless the rack in the top oven is on the lowest position, you can't see into the pan to visually check the food. But I usually just go by the bake time and it's not really a problem. The oven had a better price on line and local appliance stores (here) don't match internet prices. But there was a weekend sale at local appliance store (but they wanted $85 to deliver). Another local appliance store matched the price and did free delivery. For $135 they delivered, installed and removed the old oven and packing materials. I'm really happy with this oven!...See MoreWolf Steam Con Oven plus a single wall oven, has to be Wolf too?
Comments (20)I went to see the Miele CSO and oven last Friday, and I really like the CSO especially it being plumbed the the XL is big enough. The interface is great, perfect for anyone that's new to steam ovens. The regular oven is pretty much just fine. However, I still like the Wolf's look more, Miele is more modern clean look while Wolf has more rounded edges and the warmth feeling to it...I know that's so superficial LOL! One thing I am curious is, the sales guys at either Pacific Sales or Pirch all told me they would recommend Wolf, even though Miele is a superior product. I wonder if they get a lot more commission when they sell Wolf?? Also, the sales guy said if I get Miele, it's best to get the Miele installation because Miele will double the warranty makes it 2 years instead of 1. Did you get that too?...See Morewekick
