Spraying, rolling and brushing can be very close in appearance when done by a professional, using high quality paints. If you are a good spray painter, everything can be sprayed. A house interior that is sprayed should have the same even coverage of paint. Sprayed paint should never be stretched. Keep it at 350-400 sf per gallon. If you like some slight stipple on the walls, then lightly backroll with a 1/4" wool nap roller. I recommend high build primer over the new drywall. It will hide a lot of flaws and it sands well when needed. Paint the trim and install over the painted walls. Your plan sounds like a good one. Michael

Well my husband has no patience and I haven't made it to the shop... so the paint I had already selected was applied to the trim SW Extra White. The paint is wet and shiny at the moment and the window is covered in plastic, so the color is not true yet. The picture is of the garage door, which is steel, but the color of the door was a match between this door and the front door, which are very similar in color. Also I will need to tell them to complete the frame in white. The second picture of the trim in the dining room which has a little more light coming through. My question is regarding the front door (3rd picture). At first I was going to paint the trim on this one, but a couple of weeks ago changed to staining the door and letting the base trim remain white but stop at the door. So the question: If I stain the trim what do I do with the window above. It is currently primed - purchased that way. Paint it the stain color or paint it white? I welcome your comments. FRONT DOOR BELOW: The door to the left is an office which will match the front door (trim color). These two doors are not in view of any of the other doors. The office has dark stained wood halfway up the wall and the door is see through.

I’m going to need to buy furniture I like a beige or grey color in furniture

I haven’t been to this site in many years...it was the old GW forum then. We are having our entire interior painted. The foyer, great room, dining room and hallways will be Silver Bullet by Behr (Gray). My kitchen has brown granite, backsplash and floor tile. White cabinets. I wanted to paint the dining room a bluish gray above the chair rail and gray below. If I do this, what color would look good in the kitchen and breakfast room with the above mentioned browns in my kitchen? There is a door opening from the kitchen to the dining room so these rooms need to match somewhat. Also, my breakfast room is open to the great room. This little room has to be painted the same color as the kitchen. I’ve never used gray before so any advice is so appreciated! Thanks so much! Dee
