What temps was this tree exposed to?

Thanks for your reply. I would say lowest temp 45 and Highest 80. Average here is around high 50s. I forgot to add that there have been some spider webs around the branches and leaves too I'm guessing spider mites? I barely started spraying some neem oil with soap and water hopefully this helps it today would be my second day in a row spraying it. Would spider mites dry up the branches and curl up leaves like that?

That's a large pot for that size tree, especially when your watering it twice a week. What kind of soil is in there?

I'm using black gold organic soil with some coconut husk mulch. I have some rabbits so I added some manure and hay from their litter box. Do you think maybe I should water once a week instead and leave it in that same pot? I don't want to stress the tree too much

The pot size that is in right now is a 5 gallon pot. I was doing some reading and you're right the pot is way too big for such a small tree. I have a 3 and a 2 gallon pot that I could transfer it to which one would you guys recommend? 2 gallon or 3? Should I add anything else or can I use the same soil with the hay and manure mixed in? Appreciate the advice

Do you know what it is grafted on. If it is grafted onto poncirus trifoliata then animal manure is poisonous to it.

I don't think it is grafted. When I bought it they never mentioned anything about grafting and the manure I'm using is from rabbits. Rabbit manure is supposed to be good for a lot of fruit trees from what I read. Thanks for your input though

Dig down and see what the moisture content of the soil is, please.

well if its a "dwarf" tango then it is grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock so it is most likely poncirus trifoliata or cuban shaddock. in any case i would agree that animal manure is not the best choice for a fertilizer source.

I agree, I would reconsider you approach to soil and container size, the tree is suffocating, probably. Get a smaller container, use a more standard potting mix, something for citrus, cactus or seedlings -a light mix. Once the tree has a few years on it it can be transplanted into this larger container and probably respond better to the natural/organic fertilizer.

I stuck my finger in the dirt about 3 inches in and it feels pretty moist. Top is fairly dry though. I was reading online that citrus trees shouldn't be watered too often maybe I was watering it too much I was doing twice a week I cut it down now though. I'm definitely going to move it to a smaller container and buy better potting mix. Thanks for everything guys

yes our potting mixes can be misleading, the top can dry out very quickly and the rootball can stay moist too moist in fact and even though the tree looks like its being underwatered its actually being drowned. especially when the container is too big and it needs too much time to dry out. i think if you do what you are planning to and put it into a smaller pot and use a more water draining soil that your tree will begin to flourish. any time i repot into new soil i take the pot put it in a 5 gallon bucket and water it to let the soil COMPLETELY soak and get wet, new soil has a tendency to not take in water too well so i soak it the first time only then water it once a week or once ever week and a half but i dont water until the soil has dried about 6 inches down or about half the size of my tree down into the soil.
