Yes! The quilt was TUCKED in over the white matelassé cover. The knit throw wasn't folded. But, she dug out the quilt and rolled up the pillows in it and the throw.

Brie has never destroyed anything. When she was a pup, she once had fun with a Kleenex box. She doesn't chew shoes, clothes or anything, She doesn't even destroy her toys.

What a riot.

So cute! One of ours, the mom, tends to scratch to make a nest wherever she is whether on furniture or a rug. We keep her favorite spots covered with something (sheets usually) to keep cushions in place. Doesn't always work.

Our dachshund never hid anything. When he was mad, he wanted you to know. A favorite technique if we left him home when he wanted to go with us was to troll through all the wastebaskets in the house for the most disgusting object he could find, which he would carefully place right in front of the front door so it would greet us on our returning home.

Mine doesn't hide things, but we know how upset he is by the condition of our comforter. Most of the time everything is in it's place, but if he feels he should have been included, then all bets are off. We come back to see similar to what dyh posted.

My SIL had a lab with a real naughty streak - we were all targets. Go down the flight of winding stairs from summer home to lake dock, and while in the water, all our gear would mysteriously make its way back up to the house. Dripping wet, we'd have no flip flops, towels, tee shirts or cover-ups. They weren't chewed or damaged, just off the dock, up, and onto the deck.

Brie had a very busy day. Glad you were able to enjoy the day with the grandkids. She seems to have some opinions about how to arrange things in your lovely sunroom. Had to say goodbye to my NC kids after spending the week together on a whole family vacation.

Brie is so funny!

We had a doxie that hogged all of the tennis balls. At the time we had another doxie & a lab that both loved to play ball. If this doxie got to the ball before the others, she'd take it an run under the bed. Under the bed was her territory and no other 4 legged creature dare to invade her space.

When we moved from that house and took the bed down, we found 17 tennis balls, and 2 unstuffed lambs wool toys under the bed. We were all laughing so hard at her, she was grabbing the balls trying to find a place to put them while we we dismantling the bed.

Love Brie and her redecorating! Our Bingo, a chihuahua/terrier mix hides his dental chew, too, usually either under our bed or upstairs behind sofa pillows in my TV room. If he decides to have it immediately, he goes under our LR ottoman. Suppose he thinks we can't get to it that way.

When I give my 3 dogs chew sticks, the oldest one runs upstairs and "hides" his. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite get the concept and often leaves it laying on top of something in plain sight. When finished with hers, one of my other dogs goes searching for the one she knows he hid upstairs, and snags it.

My dog, as far as I know, does not get mad. She does occasionally pout. She doesn't bury things as often as she did when she was younger, but she does more like Mimi's dog and it's like she digging/pushing with her nose. She does this with her chews (which we call a bone). She lays on our bed alot and sleeps at my feet at night. My husband almost always comes home for lunch Mon - Thurs (he doesn't work on Fridays). On days that I am not there, he may give her a chewie before going back to work. Many times, she will "hide" the chewie (most often up between the covers), then when I come home, out comes the chewie, she usually plops it down in front of me. Like "look mom, what dad gave me" LOL. She normally gets her chewy at night and she will bring it to our bed and bark at it and dance around it before finally eating it. They are so funny!!

Dogs are entertaining! I love hearing about other dogs.

Rooney is adorable! Is he a springer spaniel? We have a (crazy and adorable) 5 year old springer Clara (hence part of my user name).

Three of mine are Brittanys, including Rooney whose coloring is called 'roan'.

The other 2 Brittanys are orange and white. The most recent is Ginger, who is part Silky Terrier, English Toy Spaniel and Std shorthair dachshund. Here's Ginger; the tiniest one, but the self appointed Queen of all of them!

This thread is adorable! My beagle used to find dead rabbits and bury them in my flower beds. I would find a leg sticking up out of the mulch....

Thankfully those days are past. For years, the 4 am paper delivery car would hit rabbits occasionally on our cul-de-sac. And my beagle, in his morning routine, would faithfully bring them home and move them around in the yard all day. Never eating them, only burying.

He is 15 now and that is something I will always remember. Including bathing him, me, and all my clothes each time.

My Aurora is a hoarder. She'll take things and put them in her den-which is under a chair in the family room. She works in conjunction with the cats-they will knock something off a counter and she'll take it and put it in her den.

When i can't find my shoes I can often locate one in her den and another in the footwell of my desk-she gets under there when I'm on the computer. One day I moved the chair and found 3 toy pigs, a bag of mini marshmallows (must have fallen out of the pantry), several socks, 4 different shoes-none of which was a pair, 2 pens, a box of kleenex and a cell phone charger.

When Albert the Wonderpug was a puppy I took him to a puppy training class. Every 15 minutes or so, the trainers would give the puppies "recess" and would dump a big box full of toys in the middle of the room. Albert would spend the entire recess period running to the pile of toys, selecting a stuffed toy, and depositing it at my feet. By the end of recess, he had at least a dozen stuffies piled around me.

DH's mom brought her dog to visit along with some of his toys and treats. After they left Clara brought out several of his toys that she had hidden until they left, when it was safe to bring them out for her own enjoyment!

Love Brie and how she 'unmakes' the bed. That's what my DGD called it when she was little. Our chocolate lab, Sarge, doesn't hide things, but he can stash the chew toys on his bed. He takes you to his treats when he's ready for one. You can almost set your clock by him in the evening, as he'll come sit by you and stare until you acknowledge he's ready for the treat.

I once had an Australian Shepherd, Indigo, who hoarded. If anyone around was missing something, they'd find it under his tree, undamaged.

On a trip to New Mexico, I bought a Zuni turquoise necklace---and lost it the first time I wore it back home. I went back to my office, the restaurant where we'd had dinner, looked all around the sidewalk to the house and couldn't find it. It was October and fallen leaves were everywhere.

About a week later, I drove into the driveway (lived on 16 acres) and 5 month-old Indigo was waiting for me. When I walked up to greet him, he dropped the unharmed necklace at my feet! Totally amazed me.

Brie was groomed today and her new Orvis collar and leash arrived. She was rather confused about the collar switch and was clinging to me until I redirected her to play fetch.

Did you know that black dogs have a harder time getting adopted? Their black color is hard to photograph and their features and cuteness hardly ever shows up well in their photos on the adoption websites.

chispa, yes! It's really tough to get a good picture that lets you see their sweet eyes and expression. If you lighten the shot you lose the velvety beauty of their coat.

There is actually a campaign to help promote their adoption

Deuce is a dapper dog!

I didn't know that about black dogs not being adopted. Our adopted greyhound (my old GW moniker was her registered name -- Won By Her Wits), was a black tuxedo and she had been at the greyhound home for six months, being rejected until she chose me. Her muzzle greyed out as she aged.

For the first time, Brie has a few scattered silver hairs in her topknot. She'll be 4 in October.

Tib, funny that people generally presume Puck was named for the mischievous Shakespearean character. He's actually named for a piece of hockey equipment ;) He is DH's dog and the day we chose him he looked liked a small black puck in his hand. At nearly 60, DH still plays hockey weekly, so Puck was aptly named.

Lol. I figured he was named for the hockey equipment! Shows how well-read and I am!

Now, if you'd named him Romeo...

I have heard that problem with black dogs being less likely to get adopted, but not until after this dog stole our hearts at our local SPCA. He was 2y/o when his owners had to give him up. He's a very large 100lb black lab who regularly gets compliments from passersby. Here he is after a recent trip to the beach where he loves to play fetch. This picture captures his personality. He is aptly named Maverick, the name bestowed on him by his previous owner. Our family of six could not agree on a new name so we kept his old one and glad we did as it perfectly suits him!

When dogs hide things, go out and buy a new one...........teeth marks and dog slobber :-(
