I have to take a shot of this tree every time I go to the Bird Sanctuary for a walk. I haven't been here since before the flood in 2013. Only a small portion of the area is open as there is still a lot of debris hiding in the area. I live to the right (the golf course is on the other side of the river.. you can see how the river "ate" away at the banks).

Bobcats on my neighbor’s roof. I can’t have cats as both our kids are allergic to them, as well as half my siblings.

Love seeing all the vivid red in the photos. @dedtired, cool comic of Bugs! He was one of my favorite cartoon characters back in the day. Along with a small handful of others. @carolb_w_fl_coastal_9/10, makes me sad every time i think of your losses. Flood, fire, whatever the reason, it hurts. @liasch, I have a similar daylily called Roses in Snow given to me by a friend. Do you know the name of yours? So pretty!

I have forgotten why this was in my front yard for awhile. I'm guessing it was when they replaced the big pipes under the street. It made me laugh to see it again. There is a new build going on up the street and they have one there and it's fun to see who uses it beside the construction guys. So far, it has been the mailman and a UPS guy.

As usual, spring is coming in fits and starts. We had 60 mph winds yesterday and then the temps dropped down into the 20s overnight and this morning. But still things are greening up.

murraysmom, we had a full fledged blizzard here last night. It had been raining then snowing since late afternoon, but by a little after 9pm. the wind and snow began big time. It was a white-out for the cars on the highway beyond, they had their flashers on. It continued for 45min. then the wind finally died down. This morning there was at least 3" of snow on the ground and the road out front was ice. Now temp is going up so ice is gone and I see green patches coming out from beneath the snow. The daffodils are flattened.

The almanac had called for a blizzard at the end of March, so they weren't far off.

Fierce winds here last night brought 23 degrees and an inch of snow this morning. Ugh!

The latest puzzle.

Just got home. 8 hour drive... and really nice and warm out, but my house is cold. It was 81 when I crossed over to Oklahoma.

Carol, I like your poppies. This is from the ABQ botanical gardens

Schoolhouse, your weather (and Gazania too) sounds like a nightmare. The only saving grace is that now it disappears pretty quickly. I'm glad I didn't have to be out in that!!!
