I just noticed that ThermoWorks (of ThermaPen fame) has their ThermoPop very fast read digital thermometers on sale. Regularly $29 but reduced to $20.30 for one or only $17.40 each if bought in multiples of 2 or more. Shipping is reasonable at $3.99.

I've owned a ThermoPop for a while (2-3 years?). Love it; fast read and has been very reliable. Great alternative to the much more expensive ThermaPen. Also comes in lots of fun colors that make it easier to spot if it gets mislaid.

The backlit feature is nice, esp for outdoor grilling when the days are shorter.
