Need help for my lemon tree
Comments (4)Marian, soil used for flowers holds water for too long and may result in root rot if you water too often, so be careful about how often you water. Use a thin dowel and push it to the bottom of the pot, withdraw it and look to see if it is damp or if soil sticks to it. If it does, then do not water yet. Wait to prune the top of the branches until you are sure that they are dead. I wish you good luck!...See MoreNeed help with my Lemon tree
Comments (15)I take it that your tree is planted in ground. I am not sure what to do. You can dig it up, remove soil from the root ball an put it in a pot but that would stress it more. You can dig a trench around the root ball in hopes that that would help to dry it out some. Do you have clay under your top soil? Anyone else have any ideas?...See MoreNeed help with my Eureka Lemon tree..
Comments (7)You do not have to remove the fruit off the tree. The tree will probably abort the fruit on it's own during what is considered June drop which is normal. I have older trees than yours and a lot of fruit has dropped. Most trees on the retail market are at least 2 years old and still a bit juvenile to produce fruit. You may get lucky and get at least 1 if you don't stress it by the lack of water. Your tree is going through the bloom cycle so until that is over, you may not get new leaves....See MoreHelp my Meyer lemon tree wintered indoors just noticed bugs in soil
Comments (7)Steve, you crack me up...lol Just put aluminum foil around the buckets and you will have shiny ones too) Rene, now that your trees are outside they will grow back leaves suited for summer. You gained leaves that are use to lights not the sun and that is why you shedded the darker older ones. They should grow back. Becareful though not to put your trees right back into the sun right away or they will burn off. They actually look pretty good for being held up indoors for so long. Hope you are not in stoe for another winter blast like we are here in good ole New England( As for the bugs, I use Neem oil mixed with a bit if natural soapy water and drown/suffoctae the buggers. Not sure whay they are, too hard to tell. Did you use outside soil, or a bagged sterile mix? What kind of soil is that?...See Moremasokealzafa
