Kitchen refacing with new cabinets in the mix - is this possible??

Previous owners placed new granite on existing (ugly but insides are good) original cabs . So, we've elected to reface the lowers. Upper cabs are squat 30" and wide, so we want to replace them with 42" cabinets for aesthetics and storage space. We've talked with 4 places. 3 would do a cabinet replace, THEN reface the new cabs alongside the lower cabs. Another says they can do the uppers without also refacing (did ask a 2nd time directly) but the place they use (been to website) only adverts doors, drawers, add-ons...not actual cabinets. I'm stumped. Do you think they're hiding how they're going to do this or are there places that supply cabinets and refacing materials (but don't advertise the cabinet end of things on a website??)? I don't want to say "are you lying?" but I'm wondering what's up...anyone else with any experience with this?
