Full StoryI usually make my barriers against army worms on my cabbage from empty seltzer bottles(cut two tubes out of one 2 quart bottle, push each in the soil around transplant for about 2 inches, the rest of the tube above the soil.) I discovered that it makes unwanted heat accumulation around the plant and makes it difficult to weed around the transplant. So my question is - how high the barrier should be above the soil to efficiently work against army worms?
