Tomato plant leaves curling downward...

I brought this tomato plant back from the nursery last week. This is the first I've tried. It's potted, in potting soil and I've been adding a gallon of water everyday. It seems to have grown a little already and I do see new yellow blooms as well as the development of two green bulbs from these blooms.

I questioned the leaves shortly after bringing it home. It took me a day to pot the plant and on this day, I thought the leaves looked wilted/heavy. They were droopy. I potted the plant with some organic vegetable/tomato fertilizer. A few days later, I actually tried "pruning" these obviously older leaves and cut the stems that were close to the soil. New leaves look good.

I'm in zone 9, in California. It's been between 60-70 degrees. Thanks.
