not sure about refresh

Win 8.1, 10 was installed and uninstalled. Lost Mail app, reinstalled. Still having problems, I posted to MS community about several issues. Got an email from then suggesting "refresh". Not sure what it means. I hesitate to use it. Can anyone give me advice?

If you're comfortable using the 'Command Prompt (admin)' two commands should uninstall mail/calendar then Restart the computer is important before you search the store for Calendar and reinstall the mail/calendar. This usually fixes the most popular problems with the mail app - but not always every problem.

get-appxpackage -AllUsers *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage

When you Refresh your PC:
- Windows will save your personal files, personalization settings, and Modern apps installed from the Windows Store.
- Windows will reset your PC settings.
- Windows will remove all installed desktop programs. A list of the removed programs will be saved to your desktop.

Oh, Sue, you answered a question. As a kid in a neighborhood of big, old houses with lots of kids, we used that phrase. But we said, "Ollie, Ollie oxen free." I never did know why that was the phrase used. This version explains a lot. And maybe Ollie is All ye or some such.

PA, zone 6 Thank you Stush, I think what has happened over time is that because the Trifasciata Laurentii has a name, people thought they had to have a name for plain ole Trifasciata.. If the name is anything to go by, a real Zeylanica would originate from Sri Lanka or Ceylon as it was.. it would be interesting to see the difference between Asian and African sans. Anyway I did like the pattern to and adopted it ☺️

Thank you all! I am really warming up to it now with the second coat and with the front windows revealed with the old trim. The old trim is pure white and seems too stark so I may go a softer white. Thanks for the photo @chloebud. That looks great! Originally I was thinking of doing the mailbox and door in a color called "urbane bronze" by Sherwin Williams but that might be too boring? I think we may want to do a "pop" of color for the new door instead - like a bright coral/terracotta color. It is Hawaii after all :-) Once again - I appreciate all of your feedback and comments. I never knew exterior colors could be so nerve wracking!

Thanks zep, that's a good explanation. I used to understand XP and Vista. I'm totally in the dark about how Win8 works, and have had problems using help and support from the beginning. It looks for the most useless words in my input questions. Thanks mikie, I did remove and reinstall mail app after win10 removal. Apparently it doesn't fix what's wrong with FB. That is barely usable. I accepted friend request weeks ago, the name is on my friends list, today she emails me to ask when I'll accept her friend request. I recall reading some article that said mail, calendar and people apps were connected somehow, presumably in how they were written, in Win8. I wasn't logged into FB at the time.

Lets hope this works for both of us. We have different problems with the same computer. How odd is that? Thanks for your time and advice to answer me.
