I think that Kwoods is pointing out that it seems difficult to convince the OP one way or the other on the depth. This is a huge project to tackle if you don't have any previous experience. I think that njb had a good idea to start with plants in a kiddy pool. If I were going to do this I know I would want to know everything I could before I started. I went through all kinds of angst when I was building my little bog. I can't imagine what it would be like if I were trying to build a complicated pond and marsh that required $700 worth of liner and the removal of 40 tons of soil. I'd probably ask local professional pond builders for opinions. Yikes.

That's the problem Ken, the entire greenhouse needs high humidity, now just a tent chamber....the whole she-bang. Currently when I tent the south wall the temp at night drops way too low. I have the same problem during the day. The whole idea is to SEAL the entire tent of the freshly-grafted plants....DAY & NIGHT for the first couple weeks and then to let the tent material rest to the floor thenafter... i haven't been able to do this. Right now the grafts are up high off the floor. This year I got screwed not knowing what was going to happen. I don't even have in most cases, 2" from the top of the seedling understocks to the roof of the greenhouse. I think I need a fogger.. IN FACT I'm Sure.. ... .... ..... .... OH WELL ;) LoL Dax

Thank you all for the nice comments. maryl,Yes I have coral fanasy spelled wrong in the photo,sorry about that. mantis, no secrets, just a lot of T.L.C. on the daylilies and all of them are in 2.5gallon pots ,I don't see how any of them are growing to be honest, with all this rain we are having here.Sun has been shinning today, and part of yesterday, too, so I thought we will have a few days of nice weather now, but, just got a alert on pc just now, to take cover as anoter bad storm is heading this way. Thank you Julia,I will have to try and fiind out who this one is.My Youngest daughter helped with moving a bunch of pots,and really didn't want to do it.her sister told her to come help us,and afterwards I have found a lot of pots with wrong labels in them,and a bunch with none in them.She was handleing them all very rough,and I don't know if labels was lost or fell out of pots, or jst what happened, since I didn't see everything going on that day.but, know I have a lot of pots that I need to find the real name on them. billi,I am not sure who it is either, if this one s wrong.Thank you for telling me. ruthz. Yes,I am growing all of my plants in pots now.Theydo much better for me in pots, and now that I am more disabled then in the past, they are much easier for me to take care of them, weeding, dividing, feilizers,etc. Nancy;I have about 8 hosta's in pots and they do very well in them.One of them has been divided 3 times in last 5 years and it was just divided again about a month ago.It gets very huge.I gave some to a daughter and some to some one else, then repotted it,and its almost the size it was before giving some way.Its in a 3 gallon square pot. jean

It's a very friendly and easy to use forum, pictures are easy to load and there are no ads! You can be from overseas also, Marlorena, so I hope everyone has a look-in to decide whether they might decide to join. Anything new is never comfortable right away, and this has been my home for so long that I'm really sorry to part ways. I'm still going to answer posts here but I don't think I'll ever start a new post. Houzz has just worn me down with their ineptitude and lack of genuine concern for the gardenweb users, but it's difficult to wrench myself away.
