The gardening season has finally started for me

A day without rain, can hardly believe it. It's still to wet to do much digging but pruning has begun. I know I posted a picture of my 40+ years old winter jasmine somewhere, if I could find the thread I would have included this there, I think I mentioned how we prune this each spring with the hedge trimmer but this is what it looks like from when in bloom to now.

We do this every spring, that pile is one year's growth, still needs a bit of fine tuning with the secateurs but that's just a nip here and there. Next on the list the akebia and the roses, then the clematis and another jasmine (fragrant), spring has finally sprung. Had a look at the leycesteria , looks a bit bedraggled so I'll have to see if I can do something with that, probably planted in the wrong place, nothing new there. Believe it or not my wisteria doesn't need an early pruning this year.
