Gwynne - very good questions about the spores and their life cycle. I am wondering the same things - hence I am always sterilizing Lysoling and wiping everything! When releasing a butterfly I wear latex gloves, swab it (for OE research at the U of Georgia, see page below) over a surface that is later sterilized. I also have all doors opened already if I am inside, as to not impede my exit (or I summon my husband ;) I toss the gloves before reaching for the next butterfly. All of my butterflies tested (with my microscope and the naked eye)last year looked very healthy. However the U of Georgia said that 90% of my butterflies were indeed infected. I noticed others on the results page who test at home and saw no spores at home were told that theirs also were infected - guess I need to invest in an electronmicroscope to test properly! LOL! One obvious way of telling if you have a dreadfully infected butterfly (besides crumpled wings) is if the black and white striping on the abdomen is not crisp - if it is blurred or grayish, chances are it's got OE parasites. But you probably knew that. I don't know about the missing leg. I had a butterfly eclose with 2 missing front legs - that chrysalis had fallen, though, and oozed some of its insides. I assume the missing legs were a result of the fall. Not very pretty.... Most isp will allow the mail to come in from another isp, but not all will allow it to send email out. She can, however, get her mail from mail2web.com and also reply there too, if she wishes, and it will work out fine. When I am on vacation, I use mail2web from friends and relatives computers, and take care of all my mail from there, for both my isp's. :-)Cat

I don't think this is the case, Pam, as I was able to view them in OE up until a couple of weeks ago. I also am not able to view in Windows Live Mail on my Win 7 machine as I had formerly been able to. Very annoying, since I hate having to use my browser to read e-mails. I also downloaded apps from the site when viewing the e-mail notification. I believe I'll re-install java and see if that is the problem.

Thanks for the help! We did not find it on the water line, but an astute friend discovered the Kohler name under the spout, along with numbers that I assume is the style number. We are not the first owners of the home so I'm guessing they aren't going to replace my problem, but I'm still going to ask. Our faucet isn't leaking; instead, it's actually peeling above the button (on the other side of that photo). Maybe expected for a Chinese knockoff, but not for a Kohler.
