Well, being zone 7 you can grow practically anything and it will be cane hardy for you each winter.

Red with lots of blooms and disease resistance: check out Quadra, Ramblin' Red and Climbing Amadeus. The first two also happen to be very winter hardy to zone 3 and probably won't even go dormant in your climate. Last winter for me here Ramblin' Red continued to set buds until January. It was quite a sight... the warm days meant the rose would grow and set buds and then the buds would get killed overnight by the cold temps. Then repeat.

Yellow: try Golden Gate, Golden Showers, Autumn Sunset and its sport Lemon Meringue and then look at Gold Badge as well. I have all 5 but mine are all babies but I bought them last year after doing some research here and elsewhere because I wanted the features you were after. If you can find the climbing [sport] version of Carefree Sunshine that will probably out perform all the above in terms of your needs. I have the shrub [original] version of Carefree Sunshine and it flowers non-stop.

I only have Dublin Bay, about nine years old, own root, didn't take long to become established, good bloomer and good blackspot resistance, I think mine is about 12 ft. tall,

Hi Jeff, I have both Golden Showers and Don Juan. Both will get blackspot (Don Juan the worst). I do spray them. Golden Showers has some resistance. Yellow is hard because most do get some blackspot. GS does bloom a lot and has a nice honey fragrance. My DJ doesn't bloom that much, I might take Ken's advice and get it on fortuniana.

I didn't include Don Juan on my list because it needs spraying, around here I wouldn't consider it disease resistant because without spraying it will nearly completely defoliate. It all depends on the strains of black spot you have in your area.

Gold badge (known as Gold Bunny here) is pretty much ubiquitous as the yellow climber to grow. My parents have it and it does well for them- no blackspot, and a fair amount of blooms considering the bottom half is in shade.

Good to read about Gold Badge, looking forward to seeing mine "grow up" this year.

Another fine yellow blend is Spectra. I grew it in FL. It was a beautiful full bush running all over a 6' fence. If you call Coolroses, they might be able to get it for you. Nelsons Roses is the ONLY nursery carrying it and Coolroses does a lot of business with them.

One yellow-ish climber that I hear praised all the time in the south that I can't grow is Crepuscle. It's more on the creamy side than golden side, but the photos I've seen take my breath away. Since you're in the south you might want to make sure you have a climber that loves the heat you'd have. I can't vouch for Crepuscle or any of the other tea or various OGR climbers, but you are definitely in the zone to make the most of them if you like that look.

I have Golden Showers and it does well for me. I just got Don Juan. I am hoping it isn't terribly black-spotty here. If it is, it might have to go.

What about Joseph's Coat? It's both red and yellow! Maybe it reads as orange from a distance??? I have never seen it in person. I have almost bought this one several times. I might give in and get it this spring.

Orfeo stays rather clean for me in NJ without fungicides, if you're looking for a relatively healthy red climber. But it will need time to mature. I have mine growing into a severely cut-back Callery pear, and let it pretty much do as it pleases. As it grows, I just tuck the canes where I want them to go. I got mine from Rogue Valley Roses in 2013. Given a boost by being potted up in a nutrient-rich mix in Spring, it will start putting out substantial canes by the end of Summer. But for me, I didn't see its first blooms until the following year.

Reve d'Or and Crepescule (which are more apricot than yellow) are bullet proof in my yard, two of the few that are. Both get very large also.

Crepescule is really beautiful.

I grew Crepuscle in Austin and it was a blooming machine- very vigorous & heat tolerant.
