What apricot & peach trees for southeast Missouri?
Comments (7)T-mama I live just across the river from you in Union Co. Ill. You should be able to grow about any peach you want here, of course a late freeze, which we get every 4 or 5 yrs will wipe out any peach you have. Same for the apricots. Since apricots bloom before peaches they are very prone to late freezes. Cummins Nursery has a line of apricots which bloom later in the season according to Alan. They are familiar with our climate as they moved east from northern Union Co. yrs ago. I have ordered 2 different varities from them. I now have Wilsons and Goldcot and got my first crop on each last spring. Your big problem will be Brown Rot. It is very prevalent and is devastating to a crop. Good luck and let me know how you do. If you want any scion wood let me know RED...See MorePlease recommend mail order source for BB,Conelia and others
Comments (15)I just got Cornelia from Countryside Roses. They and Nor'East miniatures had the nicest plants by far that I purchased this season, and I bought from several of the popular bare-root antique rose vendors. The plants were bigger than bands for the same price or less, with larger root systems and much healthier than those from some other sources. This was my first time buying from them, and I couldn't be more pleased. I just wish they had more gallicas, damasks, and albas, and they would be my sole source for new roses....See MoreLocating good mail order source for Thyme?

Comments (4)Our local H.D. had a orange that turns to hot pinkish red variety that had the white and green variegated leaves last year. I bought a small one. It seems like I am starting to see more varieties at the Box Stores lately. I think I am up to 11 different bougie varieties now lol. I would like to get the variegated purple one. I have a variegated light pink. I used to have a variegated white one but lost it so will have to find that one again. ~SJN...See Moremichael19
