Great Lakes Roses near Belleville (Ann Arbor area) has a fabulous selection of own-root roses -- moderns, antiques and Bucks. If you ever make it to the Eastern Market flower day in Detroit, they're there, too, and will bring your roses (AND give you a discounted price!). Nancy and Roger are wonderful people; very helpful, and I'm sure would work with you on the times if you told them the circumstances. Maybe this is an option for you? I purchased two sets of Lady strain from Brecks two years ago. Seven of them are blooming this year (of ten). These are seedlings so they have some variability. I think this pic shows a pink and a red--my labels faded over time so I lost track of where I planted each type. I don't think any have been the really blue coloration. With their sale and coupon each one was under $3 each. Brent and Becky bulbs had a seedling mix this year (I don't remember the name)-- 6 for $40 but they are sold out. I was keeping my eye on them to try to get some during their 50% off sale. Two springs ago I purchased lilies and dahlias from B&Bs sale and they were incredibly floriferous the first year. Huge good quality bulbs. Bluestone has some attractive doubles but they are $12-$16 each. I purchased one randoms helleborus from bluestone 3 years ago and it is doing ok. I doubt this will be of any help but if all else fails Fraser's Thimble Farm, Salt Spring Island, B.C. has Hepatica transsilvanica listed for $10.00 the only catch is you have to place a $75.00 order if ordering from the states and then there's the cost of a phyto certificate etc. on top of that. Hopefully you can find it states side but sometimes if you can get others to go in with you on a group order and share the expenses it doesn't put too much of an ouchie on the old pocket book. CTS Airplants on Etsy is my go-to for ordering succulents online. He also offers the same items on Ebay - Coastaltill1. I cannot say enough great things about Andrew's Etsy shop. His prices are a little high but shipping is reasonable and you do get some insanely quality plants. I always feel like each plant was selected special just for me. I have had some customer service issues that they were fast to resolve. I received the wrong plant and he offered to send me the correct plant and keep the one that was incorrect, even though he took a hit for it. When he kept receiving the wrong plant from his grower to fulfill my order he personally drove down to the grower and picked the correct plant for me. I noticed Mountain Crest was mentioned above. They have a lovely Sedum and Sempervivum selection and their plants are quality but use caution when ordering. I have known of several instances, including an order I placed, where 1 or more items was not put in the box. When I contacted them they were very friendly and offered to refund me for the item. If a plant is out of stock when you place the order instead of emailing you and asking if you'd like something else or initially offering a refund, they will just send the shipment with no mention of the missing order. Personally I would rather replace the plant I wanted with something different than get a refund because if I want to order something else I would have to pay for the shipping again. IMO they are a little sneaky when it comes to that. -Erica
