Could someone help ID this beautiful rose?
Comments (52)Thank you all for responding to my post! I appreciate all of your help with this rose bush. I do not think it is sexy rexy because I thought it might be that rose, so I ruled it out when I went to a rose show in my area today and saw sexy rexy. In fact, saw two of them and they were too light and too pink to match my rose. I do think this is a grandiflora rose since all roses are in a cluster. I am posting a couple more pictures of my rose to show how it looks when it starts to fade. (when it fades it turns more pink) I also did a petal count on one rose and count was 43. I also am thinking if it is not Camelot it could be Montezuma. I was looking in some old JP catalogs and saw Montezuma and looked very similar. Does anyone else have this rose or Camelot? I am leaning towards Camelot because the shape of the bush looks just like my mom's 50 yr old Queen Elizabeth. The leaves are very large and this bush is very disease resistant. Thanks again for all your help and I have enjoyed reading responses....See MoreCan Someone Help Me ID My Cactus
Comments (1)I believe that is Mammillaria elongata. It would be best if you posted a pic of your plant, though, so we could tell for sure. =)...See MoreCan someone please help me ID my new succulents?
Comments (7)Your Hens and chicks looks like Sempervivum 'Red Beauty'. Just in case you don't know, most Sempervivums need to be out in the cold in the winter so it doesn't make a great houseplant. A better garden plant for sure. i can't identify the so called zygo cactus from your picture. Maybe a closer shot? The third picture looks to be a sedum of some sort. These all look to be succulents, not cactus, to me. One last thing, most succulents are poisonous to cats so I don't recommend you let your cat eat any of them....See MoreSomeone help me ID my cacti/succulents please?
Comments (6)Sadly, just because a bagged soil is called 'cactus soil' that doesn't necessarily mean it's any good for cacti and succulents as we've said many times before, it's just sales blurb. They will die in that mix whatever their size, large or small, the result will be the same. Can't tell what the planter/s look like size wise in relation to the plants or whether it's one big planter, but whichever, there's way too much unused 'peaty' type compost. It will cause one of two things to happen...if you water thoroughly which they will need (but they also need to drain properly) it will stay wet and they'll rot. Failing that, the soil may become hydrophobic, you will think you are watering it but it will stay dry at the roots, as spray bottles don't water efficiently. Please do a search for a more suitable mix using the search box a the top, your plants will thank you in the end. Gill...See Morehoovb zone 9 sunset 23
