Garage Sale Pricing

last modified: 10 years ago

A local charity is having a garage sale to raise funds. They've asked for donations that are already priced for sale. I looked through earlier posts on GW and saw that the accepted pricing is 10% - 15% of retail.

The items I'm donating are current, new and unopened like a crock pot and a setof sheets. Should I follow the 10% - 15% pricing guideline or do you think I could get a little more for these nicer items? Do you think the fact that it is a charity sale and not just a regular garage sale will cause buyers to be a bit more generous or not?

Thanks for taking time to respond.
