Care packages

Our neighbors who live across the street have been going through a very very difficult time.

Their up-to-no-good son was nearly killed in an accident a few nights ago and remains in the ICU.

The couple are good, hardworking people but extremely naive about their son's behavior. Naive to the point of being blind to the obvious. He's in his mid twenties, by the way.

Anyway, they are spending 24 hours a day at the hospital, in shifts, and I want to make things a little easier for them.

Over the past few days, I've taken over food that's easy to heat up or freeze, and homemade biscuits, salad to go with the lasagna I made, a cold cuts assortment with breads and rolls, etc.

I'm baking banana bread and muffins this morning. Also a batch of my low carb egg muffins that are so scrumptious, freezable, and microwavable.

What am I missing? What kinds of items would make their hours at the hospital and at home easier? Please give me some helpful ideas. I've never been in their situation and can only imagine how traumatic their lives must feel to them right now.
