White sink

Remodeling the kitchen and we need a porcelain/cast iron/ceramic/fireclay sink. We don't care for the apron front look. Also don't want the granite/acrylic/composite material.

Would like it undermount with one basin. If we can do 27" or 33" cabinet we will go with Rohl, but if we have to do 24" or 30", I haven't found something comparable. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Kohler came out with Riverby®
27" x 22" x 9-5/8" under-mount single-bowl kitchen sink with accessories and 5 oversized faucet holes which will fit in a 30" base . I was told that they are being made to order. Riverby

Its a softer gray that seems to work with black, grey orcream. Silgranit will send samples fairly quickly. My granite is called aries white with browns,creams, grey, white and cream. The cinder seems to blend in while i think the Silgranit brown seems to be mord bold and bright but still nice looking. Good luck!

Are you matching the white with your other fixtures like toilet and tub/shower? I like the image Mayflowers posted. But I see that the sink is carried by the white cabinets. If the sink is the only white, than I'd probably go with something else.

I don't have an apron front sink, but I have a large single bowl sink. I am surprised by the two comments about washing dishes. One about filling the sink - I never fill the sink beyond an inch or two. If I am soaking a roasting pan or large pot (I have several LC Dutch ovens), I fill them, not the sink. The beauty of a single bowl sink is that you can put those things in the sink to soak with no problem about fitting them. I also have a dishwasher. I handwash my knives under running water, never soaking. And I handwash my large pots and pans (though those can go in the DW, they just take up too much room). My dishes though are scraped (never rinsed, just scraped), and go right in the DW, and I would not need any kind of dish pan in my sink to wash dishes. I understand people operate differently in the kitchen, but I just don't get the logic of filling the sink to wash dishes, unless there is no DW. To the OP, I think your apron front sink in the 36" cabinet will be great. Many people have them in small-ish kitchens, and we never hear on this forum regret about their size or how they look. The Kohler Whitehaven comes in a short apron if you are worried that the tall apron will look too massive.

Thanks for the recommendations. It looks like to use the space most efficiently we have to put in a 39" cabinet. Unfortunately, it's a small kitchen, so countertop space is precious and we still need a small sink. We are either going to do the larger Rohl or the Riverby. I'm not crazy about the lines on the Riverby, so I'm still looking for alternatives! Thanks again

I have the Riverby and I'm very pleased with it. I don't have a lot of counter space either, but the sink is so functional that I don't mind the extra space it occupies. I use the colander/cutting board accessory all the time, but I don't use the rack accessory thing (not the bottom grid- which I have in the sink constantly). I have it in white and a family member has it in sea salt which is very pretty. HTH!
