Apron sink/granite owners -$450 for apron sink cutout?
Comments (4)I'm wanting to do an apron sink also. I've gotten 2 quotes so far, one for $400 and the other for $250-300. We're in the DFW area. I was surprised at the $400 quote. Still waiting to get a quote from the lower priced guy for building me a range hood and for installing a drawer microwave in a cabinet. If those prices are reasonable, I'll go with him....See Moreif i have a shaw's white apron sink, can i have a ss prep sink?
Comments (4)I think you'll be fine with a stainless prep sink. It'll be an undermount, so it's not as if you'll have a big stainless apron front sink which might (depending on placement) look out of place with your Shaw's. If you really do want a stainless then you must get it. It's going to be your workhorse sink and the last thing you want to have to do is baby it or worry about it....See MoreBlack countertop, white non-apron sink?
Comments (26)Monkeypuzzle-thank you for the compliment! The faucet reach is just fine for me. I like to use the sprayer often. It only splashes if there is a bowl of water in the sink and I aim right in it...but I assume this happens no matter what faucet one has. I do notice a pool of water around the base of the faucet though. Perhaps because I'm a bit sloppy and my hands are always dripping wet when turning off the faucet. The sink is Rohl Allia #6307. It is fireclay and am very pleased with it. Fireclay is white all the way through so if it scratches it should be a white scratch. THis is what I was told. It is about 10in deep. Add another inch and a half or so because of the counters and it is pretty deep. This may bother some but I love it. Our floors are red oak hardwood. A great company put them in to match our existing 1963 red oak floors and did a fantastic job! The link below is just another visual of black couters with a brass faucet. If you click on the pic it will enlarge. Here is a link that might be useful: brass faucet...See MoreTop Mount Farmhouse Apron-front White Sink
