Need recommendations for partial shade veggies

User

I have a courtyard that has two sides that are partially shaded. One side gets sun from about noon to 3 or 4 pm (less in the summer when an oak tree shades it) and the other side gets about 3 hours of early morning sun.

Would the side that gets morning sun be bright enough for lettuce and baby greens grown in towers? The afternoon sun side has a light gray wall that reflects sun, which I may be able to paint white. Haven't asked my landlady yet, but as long as I paint it back when I leave, she doesn't usually care. I can also put up hanging gutter gardens or trellises on that side.

What veggies/herbs would be good for these amounts of light? I don't eat swiss chard or kale, btw.
