thanks for the picture and many thanks for the "bump." I've heard it refered to before, but was a bit clueless about it. (Oh great...just realized...I'm about to get sucked in to a new area of the forum. Like I have the time. LOL)

Hmmmmmm. There's a Canadian Idol show? Sorry I can't help you pick a winner. I don't even watch the American Idol stuff. Rerun stuff? During "Sweeps Week"? The "Crab Chronicles" Semper? You want to hear tales about our hermit crab hermitage? I don't know if anyone here could manage to make that the least bit interesting! I think there may be a larger audience for the story about the record number of sit-up in a day. :-) Chick in 3D

For the best info on marinades I suggest the Petersen's article linked below. You may discover you don't want to use a marinade at all depending on the cut of meat you are using. Especially if you are smoking it. Marinades and smoking don't always work well together so consider injection as an alternative, especially if it is one of the drier cuts. And a rosemary-based sauce added at serving time would work better IMO. As for smoking, I agree with above - it all depends on what type of smoker you are talking about. True wood smoking is a very different animal from some electric smoker; cool wood from hot, direct or indirect? Dave Here is a link that might be useful: Petersen's - 8 Best Venison Marinades

This just happened to me, too. On Chrome, for some reason, I had to sign in (usually I am always signed in) and when I did, my bookmarks for GW didn't work. So when signed in, clicked on Your Houzz and under my name/account I went to activity. It showed where I'd commented on GW threads, so I clicked on a thread from there. Then, when I was in GW (but in a specific thread, not just the forum page), I went to the browser bar, deleted the actual name of the thread, but kept the www.gardenweb.com. (Like I deleted everything after .com here: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5058837/help-getting-on-gardenweb-home-decorating-forum-not-conversations#21448682.) That took me to the GW home page and I bookmarked that. Once I was back on GW, my old bookmarks began working properly again.
